Planning first Outdoor Guerilla grow...need some pointers and suggestions.

i was bout 1000 miles from mexican border. Like they say hindsight's 20/20 woulda done it different lookin back but can't change it now. Wasn't really thinkn str8 when they caught me I had had bout 5-6 hours of sleep between last 2 days b/c of work n school. Both of us went to jail and were charged with same thing Cultivation of more than 5 plants and then some state charges i dont wanna get into from when they got warrant to search place. Friend got out in 3 days and me 6. Still haven't been back to court yet or got notice for next 1 but dont really think i'll get more than couple years (which does suck but hey atleast not life like some back 40-50 years ago) got much bigger fish to fry and crowded jails cuz of all drug crimes here.

A couple years? Who arrested you the Taliban? Might as well saw your hand off while they're at it. If this is your first offense I can't imagine getting anything more than probation.

What i learned from last year:

Be sure to apply bug repellent before the problem not when it starts, sevendust is perfect, just try not to get it on the buds when they come in, but u can still apply it to the leaves carefully

Have a shelter ready to put up in case of long rain spells, but only if its budding, you dont want bud rot trust me, and it WILL happen if you have more than 2 days of hard rain, but put it up during any rain just in case

DO NOT make trails, they are easier to make than i realized so choose different paths

Pish posh i have started a couple plants around now and yea they were huge but you just have to keep super croping till you cant anymore lol. They will be flippin huge come harvest.
A buddy of mine had a 16' tall plant, got 3 elbows off his one ladie. If you dont have much space id say start feb an come may they'll be a nice size. But then again it might just be my own personal preference

Please tell us you were not on federal land?. If these are all state charges you'll get fined up the ass, probation, and a boatload of community service...but no jail. The last pair that caught around here wound up with 5 years...for possessing over 2,500 Lbs in a warehouse!. I'm going to tell you this ahead of time based upon personal experience. If you are offered 5 years of bullshit probation as opposed to a year or less, take the jail time and get it over with. I'm sorry to hear this happened, nobody should have to go through this over a few harmless plants...it's not like we're growing opium poppy fields or coca plants. I've been meaning to start a site selection/avoiding authorities and rippers type of thread, just figured I would wait until spring. I've never been caught in my 10 years of guerrilla growing in 2 different states. Had a close call once, real close actually but I saw them trying to find me after they pulled a dozen of my ladies out of the ground. They even left one intentionally in hopes I would return.

it was on federal land cuz thats the only spots around that are wooded for more than few hundred zquare yards. Stupid I know but I didn't do it thinkn I'd get caught. At my house they supposedly found 30 grams of shrooms that were drying along with between 1-5 lbs of marijuana, they didn't specify how much n my bong. I know i didn't have more than 5 zips of bud the rest was fan leaves and trim plus 10 small indoor plants. The shrooms little did i know were most serious and is appareantly class c felony carrying possible 10 years. This is my third arrest first i plead guilty to possesion of paraphanelia(60 hrs community service 2yrs unsupervised probation 6 months on the shelf) then traffcicking less than 8 oz. cuz i had couple bags of different strains told em it was personal whic it was but i plead to it cuz they offered me only 45 days house arrest and it was still misdemeanor so i'm like what the hell get it over with. Got caught the first two times cuz of snitches, fuckers. I'm ready to get outta this fcuked state, if it weren't for my fam i woulda already. But just found out yesterday my next court date it dec. 21 so i might have a shitty xmas present this year.

I was afraid of this, and it sounds like you don't have an attorney?. If not, you're entitled to at least one continuance. That will buy you the holidays. Then take a public defender and whatever deal they offer since you would lose on a trial. Unless you intend on skipping, which I would not advise. This isn't serious enough to have following you around.

I do have a paid attorney(thank God for my grandmother) thats costing a pretty but he hasnt really told me too much, gonna set up meeting with him next week. Don't really have anywhere to skip to anyway or source of money.

I'm kind of surprised they were able to obtain a search warrant for your home based on this. Were you on probation or parole at the time? No reason to assume you had anything illegal going on there.
