Planning new DWC Grow, need advice

** sorry about the length i just want to convey everything in one post.

Hey im planning a new grow using rubbermaids with 6 auto-flowering ak47 and hindu kush from lowlife. i have a few questions before i start buying stuff though.

1st, on account of being unable to clone autoflowers i want to have a separate room to weed out the males. under cfls it would be in the biggest rubbermaid i could find with small net pots close together until sex shows (2-3 weeks). then id move them to the main closet.

is this a bad idea? moving a net pot with 2-3 weeks worth of roots?

i dont want to have to cut males out of the main rubbermaids and have rotting roots and empty spaces under my hps.

2nd if i was to have a separate sex-determining room with smaller net pots would that effect the growth/yeild of my plants when i moved them. if i used one room i would have larger net pots. once the roots make it through the bottom of the net does it really matter?

3rd is changing the water in the rubbermaids really gonna effect my plants noticeably? i dont want to go cutting holes in the bottom and molding in pipes for such a short life span (8-9 weeks).

Unless you want to keep throwing money away on auto-flowering plants (yeah... they're shit), you'll want those males to make your own seed. You crack the seeds, do an open polination, and you've got all the seed you'll ever need. Sacrifice the first crop for years of nugs, dig?

Moving the net pots won't be a problem if they're going from hole to hole. If you're sitting the plant down on top of a pile of roots, it could affect them. You could veg in an ebb and flow so the roots are air-pruned, and then when you put them into the DWC (flower room), the roots will grow out into the res.

yea i planned on making seeds with the biggest 2 females from each strain.

why do you think autoflowers are shit? i was under the impression, from other peoples grow and smoke reports, that some of the crosses are pretty potent, only a little less than their normal flowering parent. ive seen some pics of mdanzig's bluestreak and dieselryder. they both look equal to any decent normal-flower strain out there. the original lowryder had a weak smoke but the crosses from lowlife and mdanzig are infinitely better.
