Hey all, i've been reading rollitup non-stop for weeks now haha, so interesting. Thinking of trying my first grow for this summer. I live in aus by the way..
So here is my preperation list from reading a lot of other threads.. if anything is wrong, or if you have any opinions for me, i would really appreciate the help.
It is going to be an outdoor guerilla grow.. planning on digging big holes out in the bush and filling with soil.

-Soil-
2 part potting soil.
1 part Perlite.
1 part Vermuclite.
1 part worm castings.

-Fertilizers-
1) A grow fertiliser with a higher N content and lower P and K.
2) Use it when the plants need it and for that you simply need to watch them, but usually don't feed them before about 3 weeks.
3) A bloom fertiliser with a higher P and K figure and lower N.

-Soil Ph Testing kit-

-Seedling Tray- (optional)
(can just used sterilized platic cups of some sort)

-Plant Pots-
(for transplanting seedling into)

-Insect Deterent-
Get from nursery or wherever.

-Chickenwire Fencing-
(got it)

Just a few questions:
1. With the plants do i go germination through paper towel method then into seedling tray, then into a small-medium sized pot then into ground? or can i go from seedling tray into ground?

2. What nutrients are good in aus? any standout brands?

3. How often would i have to water on a guerilla grow? obviously must depend on weather? how hot it is and such?

4. And what insect deterants should i look for?

THANKYOU :)

way more than you need to worry about, for a guerilla grow, you wont be fertilizing, trimming, or any of that, otherwise you would do indoor. All you need to do really is a good handfull of seeds and a small trowel, make sure its in a good area and plop em in, and come back in a few weeks to pick em. your looking at doing way more than you really have to. not saying you cant do it that way, just more work than what is needed and more running around with alot of shit and it defeats the purpose.

True, alright, well for my first grow i might not worry too much about all the added work, and just plop them in some reasonable soil and water them every now and then.. do you think i'd have a reasonable yield/success when harvesting the babies?

with a guerrilla grow as with most grows, there is no distinct yield approximation. You cant ask if I plant (x) seeds, how much bud will I get. Its so variable based on conditions of the grow as well as strain, ferts, training, growing style, growing medium. You get the idea. For guerrilla growing you don't control any of these aspects, just plant and pick essentially. This is where I learned about growing and now I have moved indoors to hydro, and up until I dry em and weigh them I can't tell you how much my yield is. Start small, go drop a handful of seeds and let mother nature do the rest. You wont get super high quality bud the first time, because you don't return every week to check em, remove the males, and fertilize them. Trying to up your yield or quality on a guerrilla grow is unsafe and pointless IMO. To get the best control you would have to bring em indoors and artificially pump em up. Just let em grow, smoke a bit, and consider the notion of indoor growing if your looking for something you can toy with and manipulate. Bag seed and a inconspicuous location will just give you some decent smoke, after all its a weed, it will grow without your help. And thats why its called GUERRILLA...Good luck

the only note i have for this is that it seems like you have put a lot of though into this, if you do what pretty much everyone else is suggesting then you should have a decent yield, i mean, ive seen friends get a pound a plant when growing outdoors. i have also heard that peeing around your plants is a good way to deter animals from eating them, instead of chicken wire. thats my $.02

Peeing on plants won't do a thing around here in Canada where I live, to really keep it as a deterrant you need to get NEEM Oil, End-All and Coyote Urine. The urine packs a punch at 40 for a bottle.
