Grow tress with vertical lights. Stick em in 30 gal pots of soil. K.is.s. use the biggest tomato cages you can to support the trees. If you are feeling brave id go dwc as it grows at unearthly rates.dwc is way easier to maintain after set up. With soil or coco they liked to be watered right after lights turn on. Hydro you can top off res when ever. Its starting to become a drag having to be home every night to water.
I also vote for you getting edible card. if you have cancer and can prove it no cop will risk their pension on you little pot grow. They are looking for the cash croppers blowing it out in every room of the house. If police do come by they call the weed specialty police who all they do is count plants. They will treat you as you treat them. So dont be an ass unless you want to be bent over. If you have too many plants or weight of pot they take the extra. Then its See ya have a nice day mopping up our boot prints off your floor.
When they came to my house I was ripping away on the bong right in front of them. They didnt say anything about me smoking when i have edible paperwork.

Since your looking to eat all you grow essentially you might think about organics. According the msds (think thats the abbreviation) charts some organics contain more heavy metals than the conventional nutrient lines. The heavy metals are thought to have come from the bat gaunos as bats are eating insects covered in pesticides.
