Plant dying after I topped..

I have a ww 3 weeks into veg. I am growing in coco and have been feeding general hydro nutrients after the second node. I feed about every three days and I always allow runoff. I never flush with plain water, I always just let the nutrient solution runoff. I topped last week and the problem started the day after. The newest node on my plant turned yellow and then brown and is now dried out. Do you think this is shock from topping or do you think I am feeding too much. I also added some cal-mag after the node started yellowing. As you can see the rest of the plant looks awesome even the two new tops. The bottom is the only trouble.

How often are you feeding? What's lighting and housing and air flow? Those bottom leafs always die that's not issue I do see some of the tips of leafs burnt so probably nutes burn.

You're not showing any photo of the newest node that's turned brown. If you topped right above the second node for four main colas (as per Uncle Ben), then the spot where you topped does dry out and the center stem ends there. What happens is the four main branches off to the sides now start growing as if they were the center stem.

I don't see any trouble here, i wonder though if you topped a little too early looking at the size of her.
Here is a nearing 4 week old plant ( overfed, but recovering ) that was topped 5 days ago, you can see how quickly the new shoots are underway and the point where you cut is left behind.

You're plant is good , chill out a little on the nutes .Let new growth tell you what she wants !!
If its light green add some grow nutes , if it's real dark lay off the nutes
Sometimes they just need water

brian, those bottom leaves that are dead, feed the seedling kinda like the yolk in an egg feeds baby chicks. once the plant absorbs all nutrients from them, they die off. your plant looks healthy, just remember to go easy on nutes, as you can always add more.good luck....peace

What an unremarkable and ephemeral thread to necro. There is not one word in the original post that would make it stand out in a search before a sea of dead threads.
