as a general rule of thumb, anything miracle-gro should be avoided if you can. read up on the forums for better stuff to use.

It's not that miracle gro sucks, it's just not good for growing pot. If you want to use soil, go with premium stuff like Fox Farms. It's available at most good gardening centers. check the website, www.foxfarmfertilizer.com for a retailer near you. use a good nutrient made for soil, such as Ionic or BioBizz. Pot doesn't like "fertilizer" in general. You can bet your left nut that any big brand "plant food" will toast your plants.

I believe the NPK ratings on miracle grow is misleading. If you choose to use it be careful with it, never used it myself so I could not tell you what works.

I would use it to plant some nice flowers or something. Go to your local grow store and get some good stuff. It's just wasting good seeds if you grow in miracle gro.
