Plant gone to seed instead of flower

Hi sorry if this topic has been covered before, but am new here and didnt want to spend hours going through all the threads - it seems my cannabis plant which has been grown both indoors and out (UK), has gone to seed rather than flower and wondered if there is anything i can do, to make it flower.

I have read somewhere that maybe it was too close to another plant which is doing fine and dandy and should be ready in a few weeks, but this plant seems have grown a mind of it own its all over the place and just full of white buds just nothing happening.

I hope this might make sense to someone or someone can give me some info as to what to do.

Thanks

Jo

P.S Just looked about on forum and think mine is a male plant, anything I can possibly do with it???

Sorry, there is a big misunderstanding here.

With MJ, there is not a colourful flower as it is NOT pollinated by insects.

The bud is both flower, defined as a body that contains ovules, and after it is pollinated, fruit - defined as a body that contains seed. They do not look different.

how do you know you have seeds? If you have one good plant and one that goes to seed there is pollen some where, either a hermie or a male. If so all plants in that room in flower will get pregnant and makes seeds.

(P.S Just looked about on forum and think mine is a male plant, anything I can possibly do with it??? ) I'd toss it in with the rest of the bunk and boil it down to use as a binder to stick all the defunct bud together for a nice hash. Make sure you remove all the stock from the bud before you grind it.

if you have seeds you still have a female.
male plants make pollen... not seeds. You likely got it pollinated while outside.. polen form a male plant can pllinate up to 3 miles.
you can keep it and harvest seeds.. you can make hash with the plant.. or pick all the seeds out and smoke it.
If you had a pic people could be more accurate on 'what you could do'

This is a piccy (Not very good taken with my crap phone) Im not sure if you can see what I mean about buds/seeds...............if not then I can always try to get a better photo. I dont mind if it goes to seed (never had that happen before so not sure what exactly I have to do with them or know when they are ready).

Sorry if being totally thick on this but last year grew one and never had a issue with it, just this year didnt expect this lol.

Thanks Jo

What about bees?

Pop open the bud and see! It will take an extra few weeks for the seeds to develop.

tuppy, get rid as soon as possible, that is 100% male. the chances are it is probably too late and it has fertilized your females. if so you gonna end up with more seed than weed.

Chop it now!!!

I keep males for breading with, other than breeding it's not any good to you. You won't know if it polinated the females until later on when they start to really develop. If you do choose to polinate a female and just lean the male there, you will not really get anything to smoke. You can leave it there for the first week then pull it and you should only polinate a small amount and still have something to smoke. I harvested my pregnant lady male was in for first 4 weeks, nothing to smoke, all seeds, but that's what I wanted. If you do get some seeds, just grow them and see how the mix was.

That is a male in your picture. kinda fuzzy, but unmistakable pollen sacks. The second a plant grows balls like that and you don't want seeds on your females, pluck it.

As mentioned earlier, cannabis is not an insect pollinator. The flowers themselves are not designed to attract insects like more traditional flowers you are used too. Cannabis is wind pollinated, and the pollen can be carried for miles in the wind.

Right this was the female plant that was next to the male for a while, I thought other day she was ok, but upon looking again it seems like she has turned to seed, can someone confirm this by the piccies :)

Thanks

i can't tell from the pics but the female has most likely been pollinated. that male was way too far along to have not dumped some pollen. the pistils on the female will start to turn brown early if she's been knocked up. there is a bright side though. no matter how the bud comes out this time around you will likely not have to buy seeds for quite some time. even if the bud ends up being a total loss i would still let it finish at least until the seeds were ready.
