This is just a option - my plant looked the same and my roots were exposed from heavy rain the night before

Ratshit I did spray my plants in full sunlight today with repellant. Will see what happens hopefully they don't all burn

never spray in full sunlight ... dark or first light .... or if outdoor when its dusk ....

Ive done it before. We all make mistakes.

Be honest I found I use very little repellent out doors. Only if I see signs of infestation.
I like for natural predators like spiders and praying mantis.
Skip the repellant and you plant will build a Eco system and take care of its self.
Without poison I've seen bull frogs come from the water at night to eat bugs in the garden. One time a bull frog was on a limb on my tomato plant.
