I am in approx week 8 of flowering now of two (questionable lineage) Afghan. Just noticed that one of my plants is starting to grow balls! At the ends of the buds, some strange looking flowers started to form last week. I watched them with great interest as I could guess what they were. A few days ago, there was no doubt left.
The pollen balls are just about to open now, so I think it is time to cut while they are easier to remove.
Most of the leaves have already yellowed and the bud is not putting on any noticeable weight. I could be off by a week on the flowering, so could be week 9 actually. 90% of the trichs are clouded, so from a maturity standpoint the timing is okay.
I started to flush last week, so they are now 8 days with only water. I think they are "pure" enough.
