I have one plant under a 150watt hps and the plant is starting to sag. Ill add pics later but the plant is now 2 feet away from the light and its doing better.

What wattage HPS light...Nevermind. Even for a 1kw that is more than enough space.

What are your temps? Soil? Hydro?

I've only seen plants sag because they had no water. Although with no pictures i'm left to imagine what you define as sagging.

Hey everybody, I was having a problem uploading pictures. Thanks all to the prompt, informative replies. Let me start by giving you an understanding of my growing environment:

150 watt hps
100w cfl
100watt fluorescent house bulb
Aurora Roots Organic soil
Fox Farm soil(1 plant potted in this)
general hydro.flora series nutrients(haven't started using)
timer

18 hour on/6 off. The temp is at 70, which I know is awfully low. Is the only way to increase temp by enclosing my plants in like a tent?
The cfl is 4 inches from plants and the plants are watered daily, so the soil remains damp. Am I watering too much, not enough, or just right?

Its day 36 of my grow. Heres the plant that's under the hps that looks like its sagging. Also, on the bottom of the plant, some of the leaves or starting to grow downward, as if there was a light source under the plant. The plants under my cfl look as if they have a lot more life than the one under the hps light. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks guys. I have the gh 3 part, but I haven't started using it. I was planning on using it beginning next week, but I didn't think I would need it quite yet. Now the temperature is just under 70 degrees. Would it be wise to infest in a grow tent to keep in the moisture and boost the temperature and when is a grow tent going to become essential?

Watch it closely when they start sagging like that its usually an indicator that they joined a gang .

I agree I see nothing wrong with that plant aside from its lanky. Which could be because your light is so far away, but you said you just moved it that far, so no clue.

I moved it closer and its doing great now at 1.5 feet. Thanks everyone

one more question. . . when should i top these plants and how? if i dont top them now will it stunt the growth?
