Plant is too perky?

My strawberry cough plant is 3 weeks old(i think...:-\) and it keeps getting almost TOO HAPPY.

I am going to make it my mother plant so i want it to get as much light as possible so i can get good growth on cuttings. I push the leaves down to the sides to get it to spread out about 2x a day because they keep angling up. They aren't curling up... they are just angling up. It is bothering me because it is as though the older growth is restricting the new growth from spreading out and is practically crushing the new growth.

I transferred it into a 3 gallon pot a week ago and that is when this started. Of course, it only had its first set of real leaves then, so it wasn't angling much of any way. It is 2 parts Scotts potting soil 1 part vermiculite. It has been sitting in about half an inch of water on the bottom because i didn't realize it wasn't draining so the soil has stayed moist for the whole week. I have it on a 24 hour light cycle but occasionally i'll give it a few hours of rest, every couple of days. It's more like a 92/4 light cycle.

Does anyone have any idea of some sort of deficiency or underwatering or something that leads to the plants angling up too much? it's like the leaf tips reach towards the light. No problems with the leaves aside from that.

The plant is loving the light bro. If you had the light off center it would turn toward it. The plant is hitting its first rapid growth phase. Raise the light a few inches if you want the nodes to stretch a little. Nothing is wrong here.

looks good here, thats a good sign of a healthy plant. don't push the leaves down its not crushing anything, the plant know far more than you do about how to grow, its had millions of years practice ( Evolution).

The ones in my current crop that did what that one is doing are now the biggest, strongest, first to flower and have more white hairs than the rest! Give it two months and you'll be overcome with joy the next time you see that happen.
