Plant issues, could do with some help please!

Hey guys,

I am on my first grow at the moment, currently approaching week 4 from breaking soil.

I have a few issues and they seem to be getting worse despite "thinking" everything is at a decent level
In no way think I know what I am doing but have been keeping an eye on conditions.

Anyway an issue I have had for a few days now has spread to another plant and is continuing to get worse for the original issue plant.

I suspect Cal-Mag deficiency, but not too sure how. My water is PH'd and always falls within the range of 6.3-6.7. I understand that 6.5 is the goal but I am trying to float between this to get a even spread of nutrient availability (Not too sure if this is even a growing tactic?)

My temps according to digital thermometer are always between 26C and 29C and using an infrared heat gun the plant leaves at canopy are usually a couple degrees C cooler due to the two 5" fans at canopy level.

Can anyone help me out here? It seems to be getting worse and since they are autoflowers, they really don't need the stress.


All plants have had the same treatment, yet only two are showing the issue. One far worse that the other. I do know Strains very like that but a pointer would be appreciated!!

Okay problem plant one has had these signs for about a week now with no improvement Images below.

Strain : Think Different Auto- Dutch Passion
Nutes : Half dose of Canna Vega, was getting Rhizotonic at 4ml /Liter
Soil : Canna Terra Pro



This second plant is now showing same issues.

Strain : Northern Lights Auto - Nirvana
Nutes : Half dose of Canna Vega, was getting Rhizotonic at 4ml /Liter , Water only for 2.5 weeks
Soil : Canna Terra Pro




Set up , (Issue plants on left for now) they get switched about for even light though.

Have you checked the ph of the soil ?
What type of water ?
Did you ph after mixing up the feed solution ?
Why are you feeding such a young plant to begin with ?

I have checked run-offs and they do tend to be in the same range, definately nothing that had me worried at the time. Sorry I never noted the actual PH.

Tap Water, I live in North of UK where our water quality is said to be good, I also leave it to sit for around 4 days before using so all chlorine should have evaporated off.

Yeah I PH after any nutes are added.

I have read that small doses of nutes are okay at around the 3 week mark was water and Rhizo only before that, the plants were pretty yellow rather than green before feeding

there are hardly any nutes in that compost, i would give them a feed, i have never checked the E.C of canna terra vega so i would not go full strength yet, i would use 3ml a litre to start off with, i'm going to check that later its got me curious

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the nutrients in the soil, I just kept reading "there is plenty in the soil for at least 3 weeks" so I was hesitant to feed.

My water is pretty soft but I have been adding 1ml/Liter of Cal-Mag VitaLink brand, which is per instructions.

It looks like it might be a Calcium deficinecy when looking other images and guides but Cal-Mag has been in my water for at least 2 waterings before the second plant showed issue so im lost to what could be causing this!

My last feed was 4ml per liter for the Canna Vega , bottle says that recommend dosage is 5ml per liter.

Any pointers on where I should check for issues or methods of correcting this would be great!

The Think Different is taking a beaten from whatever is causing this

just checked the E.C of canna terra vega @5ml a ltr its 1.1, so not that hot, i would give them a full dose and see what happens, your ph is perfect for the uptake of MG and CA, are you making sure your waterings are not shocking the plants too cold, are you letting the pots dry out before watering ?
you may have sorted the problem see what the new growth looks like in a week

Thanks man, il give them a feed maybe tomorrow but likely the next day. I last watered just over 48 hours ago , my soil should be dry enough then.

The water shouldn't be too cold as its kept indoors and has sat for at least a couple days in a container before use so it is definately not cold water I use :/

Soft water you say? Do you have a water softener in your system? If so the salt treatment in it can cause problems.

I don't have any system in the house or anything I have just looked up the local water analysis.

My local report shows the following

9mg/L - Calcium
1.4mg/L - Magnesium
28mg/L - CaCO3 (Soft)

Its weird cause everytime I look at the think different its taking a proper beating where as the other plants seem fine
