i have 2 plants that have yellow spots on them... and some of the edges or yellow or yellow/brown and are rolling up....

- growing indoors
- plants are 1 month old
- usually watered every 3 days, except for about a week ago, when i watered them from a spray bottle daily (the spray bottle had miracle grow mixed in the water)
- growing medium: regular soil, with starter soil and cow shit mixed in....
- growth stage: vegatative, about 1 month old... 21 hrs light, 5 hrs dark right now

i'm not sure if this is happening because i could of gave the plants to high of a concentration of miracle grow... or if it is because i havn't fed them any other nutrients, or could be b/c of the lighting (i am using four 4feet flourescents, (2 3000K, 2 3500K)

Let me know what you think...

nitrogen overdose??
what is the best plan of action going forward? just regular water until things clear up??
yes, you are feeding them way more than they can eat, so its causing probs....stop giving them nutes till they start to get a lighter green. And only water em when the soil is dry.

Best way to feed your plants is to listen to them, they will tell you what they want once you get to know them

i was told that they appear to be Potassium deficient and look like they may need more Calcium............... does that sound correct???

i can tell by looking at the super dark green foilage and the curled claw leafs that is an N overdose, which makes sense that you said you fed tham a big dose of MG.

MG is ok for flowers and shit, but i dont advise it for growing weed so much...its a urea based nitrogen (piss) and it will also create salt buildups that will lead to a lock out if you dont flush regular. If its all you can afford than use it, but make sure you flush every couple week or so to avoid problems. If you got some extra loot tho, id invest in some decent nutes, Fox Farm, Botanicare, Advanced, General Hydroponics are a few to look at. If your gonna take the time to grow you might as well do it right.

As for calcium, check the label but im pretty sure the MG has micro nutes in it, and their a decent amount....if your worried about it than grab yourself a jug of CalMag, it works wonders

yea, i can afford other stuff... but at the time, i was using what i had laying around....

i'm look at the label, MG doesn't appear to have any calcium in it...

as far as over feeding them the Nitrogen... should i attempt to flush the plants with water??
i also just ordered a ph meter, from what i've been reading, that seems to be quite important...

Here are some updated pictures.... these were taken today, which would be day 35 since planted.... these pics are about 5 days newer than the last ones..

also, i did flush the plants last night, and changed out two of the t5 bulbs to 6500K (as of now, i have 4 t5's... 2 3000K & 2 6500K on 2 plants)

Any more advice would be appreciated....

change the damn bucket they are in. never put them in a bucket/pot thats atleast twice the size of the plant. Root restriction is highly overlooked in soil. The less root restriction , the better, faster growth.

but them in better soil too, get some nice organic soil. The damn plant is 4 or 5 times the size of the soil size. your not letting it grow. put the plant is someothing as big as you can. alot of mistakes i see is people not putting them in big enough pots. good soil is cheap, just a pain in the a$$.

I always put them straight in the big Pot, why put them in a small cup , then transfer to another, then another, etc. Straight from cloner to big pot. less straight, less root restriction. More oxygen for roots, etc

yes i agree wit you bighomey! bigger pot get the roots to grow give yourself a chance for big yield not a small limp one!
