Transplant into medium NOT containing vermiculite but with a healthy amount of perlite. Put it all in a fabric bag. Watch a miracle occur shortly thereafter.
Will transplant in a few weeks to a fabric bag.
Will have to look at Perlite. I was told a 50/50 of vermiculite and peat was a good mix.

Vermiculite holds moisture. We don’t want that. Save the vermiculite to use for cloning.

Anyone watch this guy? Seems to be pretty smart in this area.

Yes, I have read a lot of Bugbee's work. I tried a run with his media mix and found that I agree with other people in that it holds to much water.
I like to go from cloner to solo cup to 3.5gal bucket and with his mix the young plant in the bucket was soaking wet for over a week.
The mix would work, but you would need to pot up numerous times as the plant grows to avoid the soggy rootzone.

I had the 4 cu.ft. bag of vermiculite that I didn't want to waste, so I grabbed some perlite and my next run I did 1/3 peat, 1/3 vermiculite, 1/3 perlite with the dolamite, gypsum and a wetting agent. This mix performs very well. The young plants never drooped after watering and where dried out in three days. Right now I'm in second week of flower and water every other day. I figure after I pack on some weight it will need water every day.
I have been feeding 1.2EC every watering and the rounoff ph has solid at 5.9. The vermiculite also acts like a mild buffer that won't wash out over time like the dolamite will.

Any thoughts as to which size fabric pot to use 3, 5 ,7 gallon? I've been using the 7 but takes up a lot of space. Looking to downsize to 3 to allow room in grow tent. Thoughts or wisdom?

I'm supporting a very dense 3' x 3' x 3' plants in the 3.5 gallon buckets. I also ran a 2-1-2 ratio for veg, after stretch I switch to 1-2-2.
