Plant on Ground or Giant Gallon Pots?

Last year, I planted my babies on the ground. I used FF Ocean Forest soil and they got huge. I don't know if I should use giant pots this year.

Do nutes stay at the bottom of gallon pots?

Do nutes stay at the bottom of gallon pots? ...Yes they do until consumed by the plant or when you do the monthly flush, then they are leaked out holes to nourish the grass and other plants in the area, its a personal thing, but as a grower you have so much control in a pot, even moving the pot 5 feet a day each time you can increase the sun exposure to the plant by 50%, you may even move the plant from shitty weather or shitty people ....lol, hence relieving the plant of any forms of stress, that may impede yeild, for this reason I have been growing in kiddie pools for the last 3 years,

Growing them in the ground is the best way to go. Make sure you plant the lady in a location where it gets a good amount of sunlight. Always prep your soil....

I personally like growing directly in the ground because its easier, and the plants get a lot bigger.
Growing in pots requires a little extra work, but it does have its advantages....

I totally agree with you about having the advantage of moving the plant around, since shitty weather can harm them.

I grew them in the ground last year and they got huge. They were 7ft tall and bushy, but I made a mistake planting them like two feet away from a wall. They didn't get much sun on that side.

Perhaps I should try both ways and see what's best.

No. Your nutrients are more or less equally distributed throughout the soil volume. Everything runs toward "equilibrium" in nature, that is everything tends to even out, and salts (ferts) end up being equally distributed in the soil solution (water held in soil).

Nutrients are not like some object subject to gravity that drops due to gravity in your pot. They are chemicals in solution and held in your grow medium by chemical means. They are available as Cations and Anions attached to the organic and clay portions of your soil mostly.

Yep dig a bigger hole or make a raised bed if you want to go bigger.

Big pots are cool but I feel like they stretch to the max in the ground if your going to do pots make sure the 100 or 200 gallons
if your doing a full may few October season.

If your starting out later you can get away with a 45 or 60 gallon one.

why take a step in reverse and grow in pots? big holes= big plants as you have already found by your statement.

the only thing I would put into a pot outdoors would be spring crop or autos something that will only be blooming in the pot.

nd pots aren't a step in reverse some people prefer them and if your using 100 or 200 gallons your ganna be letting the plant use it's full potential still.

Its preference.....

I don't always use pots but when I do there smart pots..... Hahahahha
Awesome.
Also Smart pots are amazing, I would recommend checking out 200 to 400 gallon smart pot capabilities... 10 pound pot plants. "HumboldtLocals" Garden in the search bar.
