So its my 2nd grow, lost my last set to jumping in too fast!!! I am growing in a 2x4x5 tent using FFOF soil plants are 35 days old from sprouting ive been watering every 5-7 days i check ph of water b4 water and its around 7.6 so i bring it down to about 6.5-6.7 checking run off water at about 6.0. Each plant is under 2 100 watt daylight 6500 kalvin cfl bulbs on a 18/6 light schedule with no nutes yet! A few days ago i noticed some leaves appearing to look bright green around edges, following day looking dry and brown around edges but still have light green outline. So thought might be too hot and add two inline fans one at bottom blowing in other on otherside at top blowing out. Ive raised the lights in ase maybe to close and was just burning them.. Also i seem to have a pest problem, attached are pics of plants and a pic of the pest.. Any advice and comments are appreciated in advance!!! Thanks guys...

Looks like you need some food Brutha! It looks like it's deficient in magnesium, any cal mag should help. Your pest is a gnat. They make little traps for them or there is a product called azomax that can take care of those little buggers.

Wow.
35 days, and you haven't fed yet? I agree, they are hungry.
Did you mix any dolomite lime and Perlite in your soil when you planted them?
You can also use some yellow stickies for the gnats, but I don't know how you got them if you're only watering every 5-7 days.
Is it really taking that long for your soil to dry out between waterings?
Keep going for now with the PH like you are, but keep an eye on it, and see if your runoff starts to come up.
You also might invest in a soil PH tester.

How would you feel if you didn't eat for 35 days? I bet you'd look like shit to! FEED THEM
Do you have standing water in your garden area?

Wasnt sure when i should start nutes didnt wanna do too early as i felt thats what i did last time, and as far as the lime, guy at hydro store told me not to add to the soil it will have everything ill need.. Maybe shouldnt have listened!!! Got the rolls of yellow stickies have two hanging in tent but still see these guys all in soil.. Soil does seem to stay moist for awhile but maybe i can water earlier then i have its just i dont want to over water! Got one of those soil ph testers but i think its broke. So i should def go get some cal-mag? or something else? Also by feed them you mean nutes right?? Dumb ? sorry

No need to leave the buckets there, just let your water sit overnight the day before you plan to water.
You don't want to use stagnant water that may have built up slime in the container.
Usually, feeding starts around 3 weeks.
Yes, feed means food, fertilizer, nutes.
Don't listen to store employees unless you know they are knowledgeable.
I'm not saying all of them do, but some will just tell you to buy more and more shit that you may not even need, or tell you what they heard in part of a conversation between customers, but there ARE some that actually do know what the difference is between soil and dirt.
If you have not gotten any food for them yet, Google fertilizer for cannabis or something like that.
You can order any of many online, or for now, since you are still 'practicing' with these, just get some nutes from Lowe's or Depot, something kind of generic.

Clear packing tape baited with a slice of potato will get rid of the ones in the soil.

Putting a layer of playground sand or crushed glass on the soil will also help.

And your plant is hungry.

Does not look like mag deficiency to me since it is yellow the edged and burnt all around, Mag deficiency tends to start chlorosis in between the veins while leaving the veins green I have a pics of a Mag def leaf Of mine DSCN4317.jpg

I would say since you said it is spitting out new growth water it and see if it progresses it looks like it got a surge of something and burnt.....

The only other thing I can think of after researching is potassium deficiency is the only other deficiency that yellows the edges like that

If it get's worse here is a thing on potassium def and how to help it

Problem Solving
Although symptoms of minor potassium deficiency affect the cosmetic look of the plant, it does not seem to affect marijuana plant growth or yields.
Water-soluble fertilizers containing high potassium fix the deficiency. Bloom fertilizer usually contains high potassium levels. It is used in the formulas to balance the pH. Highly alkaline potassium is used to balance acidic P. Wood ashes deliver K quickly.
Liquefied kelp, bloom fertilizers and wood ash are commonly used and work quickly to correct K deficiencies. So do potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3), potassium sulfate (K2SO4) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) Potassium silicate (K2SiO3) can be used to supply Si and has 3% K in it. Granite dust and greensand take more time to get to the plant and are not usually used to correct deficiencies, but to prevent them.
Damaged cannabis leaves never recover, but the plant shows recovery in four to five days with applications of fast-acting products.

General discussion
Cold weather slows K absorption, as does too much Ca or NH4+. High levels of Na displace K

Try a silica product it is indeed is a K def. That way you will get you K and also some Silica to make your plant hardier and hopefully help the plant against your other problems like heat, wind, bugs if you have any other problems

To everyone who said they are hungry :dunce::dunce::dunce:- . They are nute burned ,need flushing , no food for at least a week then bring back nute s minus 20%.

keep it real.

i would flush, and like jpeg said add a silica supplement dyna gro makes a great one called protekt, as well as all their products. its very alkaline and should be added before any others.
