Plant training help needed (beginner)

I had 3 plants given to me a month or so ago that were literally all in the same red solo cup. I managed to separate the healthiest from the other 2 but they were so close together and so much smaller I was nervous about trying to separate them so I left them be. Thinking when I could tell if they were male or female I'd decide which one to to grow and which to sacrifice. Also because they are not mine I don't feel right making that decision. So at this point they seem to be equally as healthy and equal in size and both appears to be female sooo... Besides the obvious of keeping them in a pot twice the size I would normally put one plant in... Is it possible to train them so that basically there is no growth between them keeping it all off to the opposite side? If so how do I go about doing this?

I have my own plants who are all rather young and obviously in their own personal pot.

That's really neat. Does that benefit the living plant? I'm assuming it increases the surface area of the roots allowing for more nutrient up take? that's just a guess.

Like I said someone else asked me to grow these for them when I was getting ready to start my babies. He doesn't know anything about growing. From what I was told it came from some old school hippy guy that he knew who had just started like 50 of them. (Not sure if he ment 50 plants or 50 cups) because the cup he brought me had 3 of them in it. He said "he won't notice one missing cup." Lol so with that being said I know absolutely nothing about them in terms of strains or weather or not they may be auto flowering or feminized.
I told him when he brought them to me he was gonna have to pick one and sacrifice the other 2. Obviously he did not like that idea so I said I'd see what I could do as I had never separated plants before and from what I understand bud plants have incredibly sensitive roots. In the cup there was one that was kinda sperate and it was the largest so I obviously suggested selecting that one at the time but again not knowing the type of seeds I informed him he ran the risk of that one turning out to be male. We decided to give it some time till I was able to tell weather or not the more promising plant was female. However I was nervous about doing this as the longer I waited the more they would grow and the more difficult separation would be. They did not seem to be bothered by the separation at all. I kinda hoped that one of the two would kill the other and solve the problem for me.
I will let him know that I am going to remove one of the 2. Or maybe I should just do it and tell him one died Lol.

Obviously I should keep the one that is slightly bigger I'm assuming?

I am simply the care taker of these plants. It works out because what ever he provides me with for his plants will also benefit my plants. He is supposed to be bringing me a really good light he is borrowing from someone. The guy is actually trying to sell the light so it will probably just end up staying here.

**BTW- I do not condone the theft of someone else's plants weather they have 10 or 10,000.

With all due respect saying you don't condone it and having someone else's plant that was stolen is like saying no offense and then saying something offensive.

You are at fault for a stolen plant that you know was stolen.

People need to keep there hands to themselves.

Not sure how it would be my fault unless I told him "hey go jack someone's plants."

I was asked if I could care for them. He offered to buy all the needed supplies which would be more then enough for his plants which presents the opportunity to my plants. So basically I didn't have to pay for the soil or nutrients for my 6 potted plants and the nutrients go to my 4 hydro plants as well. I was also promised half of the harvest. So basically I'm being paid to grow my own 10 plants. Lol kinda hard to turn that down. I told how I felt about his method for obtaining them but being that what's done is done and there's nothing I can do about it, it would be stupid to say no and let those plants go to waist.

Your mind set is a big part of why people can't be trusted.

Its not a come up. Its theft.

You can buy seeds for $10 a piece.

A come up would be working hard for your own shit and being successful.

You crack me up. Do you know what theft means? Lol the action of taking something that is not yours with out permission. Last I checked growing a plant or not doesn't change weather or not the kid took the plant or not lol. He's a young dude who got his karma in my opinion when he learned your car doesn't have to be moving or running to get a dwi. Lol. Btw if you believe that if someone steals something and then gives it to someone else that that person is also a thief then I hope your running background checks if you ever buy anything second hand lol.
