She looked great. Woke up to this. Guessing mag def? She's in 100% perlite Hempy. using GH FloraNova veg, 3 teaspoons per gallon/ per directions, she's been taking it great until today. The leaves feel very dry. Heat stays around 78 to 81, humidity around 40. This is happening to all leaves, not just the top. I'm guessing she has 3 to 4 weeks left. Very disheartening.

I can't say for sure what is going on but when all leaves start to go dry at once I tend to think of toxic salt build up that has hit the tipping point and started reverse osmosis. Flushing and water only would be the right course if that is the case. Do you know the ppm of your nutrient solution? I've done this from over feeding and from using softened water.

Hope they get better!

Over night they went...

What did you do YESTERDAY ????

or what did you do different in the last week... that you DID NOT do before last week?

Looks like they lost all their humidity in your room, pots/dry... Etc... and then you screwed the pooch by giving them new/bad mix of nutes ....

So what was different.... in the past week?

And seriously... did you even look at them yesterday?

sorry to disappoint you dudes, you can doubt and make all of these snide comments that you want, but this did happen overnight. And yes, I check my plants at least three times a day. what reason would I have to lie about it? Sorry if you guys are jaded to these questions, but this is new to me. to answer your other question, nothing changed since yesterday. I am using the same pH of water with the same amount of nutrients as I always do. I have three other plants in this flowerbox, but they are in different stages of bloom.

If you say so, you're the one who knows. Did you change light position, move a fan, anything different from before? It had to be something drastic to cause that much damage in a 24hr period. Maybe they were showing signs and you overlooked them?

looks like a salt/ph issue, and its perfectly plausible for you to have missed the early signs and then see this 24hrs later, particularly if you watered within the 48hrs before you noticed. flush and plain water would be my course of action, with 3/4 strength nutes after a couple weeks recovery. you'll probably feed twice more, then back to plain water for the final flush. If you thought they were 3-4 weeks from done, add a week or two for this issue, and be ready for smaller yields. best of luck to you, ignore the trolls, be easy,

I added a light to my veg cab, which is a seperate chamber in the same cab, so the most I would expect to see it of that would be an ambient temp change, or humidity change. But those looked fine. No changes in the other plants as well. Could it be that this plant is to the point in flower that I may need to back off on the nutes a little? I have been feeding every 2 to 3 days, when the pot feels light. It literally blew my mind to see this today.

If you've been feeding every 2 to 3 dys, then like DRJ420 said. It's probably salt build up, I would follow his advice and give a serious flush with water, or a real low nute solution say around 200 ppm's.

That is a massive amount of dmg to happen in 1 night something drastic would have had to happen. I recommend flushing asap.

It probably showed signs and I am too inexperienced to have seen them. If I saw this, I would assume something drastic happened too, like changing environment, lights, feed, etc. But I didn't, so it has to have been buildup and I wasn't experienced enough to catch it in time. Also, I have never alternated feed and water. In the future, I think I will do that. Thanks for the help. I will keep you posted.

Omg then its def build up you always want to alternate.
Thanks. I read so much conflicting information with Hempy grows. I swear, I've read feed, feed, water as well as don't worry about flushing. Once again, this proves that experience is the best teacher. This plant has been through it all....
Thanks.
My plan now is water for at least two to three more feedings which will be around a week and a half. Then going half strength the next two and slowly raising. And going on a feed, feed, water rotation.
Does that sound right?

don't forget that different genetics will feed differently, as will different phenotypes within the same genome. so, not only is experience the best teacher, but learning how to read your plants as unique individuals is the best advice i've ever been given. but, in general, chemical fertilizers are salt based and those salts build up in whatever medium you're in. so, in general, with chemical ferts. you're going to have some flushing to do. also, since hempy is a form of hydroponics, you're going to have to monitor everything, not just feedings, very closely, since your plants are 100% dependent on you for all of their needs. no worries, she'll still yield!
be easy,
Dr.J
