I'm having trouble with my first plant, it's about two weeks in and a couple inches tall. It's very top heavy, and can' hold itself up without upport from a rock or something else, any ideas on whats causing this?

It has a weak stem, I have the same problem with a couple of mine. Use an oscillating fan in your grow room to strengthen the stem. Put it on the low setting, think light breeze not tropical storm ;)

bury her up to her leaves...like 1/2 inch below her leaves exposed. I had the same problem.

I stuck mine in a bigger pot and burried her deeper

the cause is bad germinating and lighting use.

my stem was really thin and the plant was leaning, so i piled up about an inch of the soil right around the stem, left like a half or quarter inch to the embryo leaves...it helped it stand straighter, and now a couple of weeks in that stem is getting really thick...also people advise against it but you could put a VERY light dose of high Phosphorus nutes, this helps with stem and root strength

Thanks everyone. I'll re-think my germinating process, the plants have been buried a bit more, looking good. Got a new lighting system as well today.

Thanks again.

what did you do to germinate? the thing i've found works is leave the seeds in a half filled shotglass in complete dark for 24-48 hours, some may sprout while in there, either way, after that you put them in between six moist but not sopping wet paper towels in the dark, usually on a plate with another plate or bowl over it, within 48-96 hours they should sprout...
