Planting in 1-9ft pine thicket

Ok so theres a pine thicket that people used to four wheel in.

I wana grow weed in it now. I know the soil is verryyyy acidic what cani do other than lime to raise my ph.

Do you think if i dug a hole filled in with some lime, peatmoss perlite blood n bone meal. that the holes would be alright

is anything else that raises ph

wood ashes can raise ph, but be careful not to over apply.

What about fish??? Like native americans used to do when growing corn in New England.

Are any other plants growing there
