just wanting to know what screwing up your light cycle will do.

my plants go to bed at 9am. and they wake up at 9pm. well this morning i got up, but i was so busy that i forgot i had left one of the switches on. so half the bulbs were still on. 10 40 i realised this, an hour and 40 minutes. which sucks because yesterday my alarm didnt go off and i didnt get up till 10. and hour late.

so what effect can this have. also what if i were to suddenly just change their light cyce to a new one. say completly backwards. 9am on. 9pm off?

thanks +rep for any info i need.

I would just go back to their normal schedule, it might stunt the flowering a little bit but they should recover so long as the extra lighting isnt an ongoing thing throughout flowering.

ok good thats what i thought. i really need to get a timer. last night i was so drunk i almost forgot i had to turn them on for the night.

Yeah as the doc put it, just put them back on 12/12, an hour of extra light won't cause enough stress to do much harm

good good. didnt think it was too serious but im a paranoid kinda guy. and i thought i should also check to see how it effects the plants.

so it will just basically slow down flowering or what? a 2 hours extra light, i wonder how much of an affect it actually had. it would be very interesting to know the actual acute measurments of it all.
