Plants are going to be too big

Ok, so we have a few plants we have been veging longer than the other ones and they are huge. Once we flip the switch, there is no doubt in my mind they will grow to end up hitting the lights…..

In this case, what would you do? I can stake them outward… I can try to cut them down…. If you think cutting them down is a good idea, would you wait until it is necessary, or would you do it now? Plan on putting them into flower soon…

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

it would be better to try to manage them now
you can tie over the main colas this should reduce the height by a fair amount

Cut down/top the plant lower than you normally would (like 2-3 nodes down) and leave them in veg till the correct height is reached. Shouldn't do anything other than slow down your process ;)

They are 2-3 months old... Already super bushy... fIMed 3 times... I wasn't sure about topping now because does it add a lot of stress to the plant or not really? Want to put to flower soon... Is topping an issue if you do it less than a week before flower or no?

Thanks!!!
