Plants are stuck or dying?!!! Please help

Ive attached a few phtots of a couple of my plants, they grew perfect under my cfl for about 8 days then i put them under my hps and pretty much nothing has happened? I did replant them and the roots looked healthy at the time. Now they are drooping and not much growth is occuring. From my research it seems to be a Nitrogen and Potassium issue, but can this happen when still so young? I have not given any nutes yet, i do have fox farm grow big should i give them the 1/4 strength or am i wrong and if so what should i do?

They shouldnt be having an nute issues right now, are you watering them with tap? Check the ph of the water you are watering with. Looks similiar to whats happened to my seedlings, they started yellowing/browning on the lower leaves. I flushed them with distilled water. try to flush them out with some pH neutral water.

Ph is right where it should be I water with ph neutral water from a reverse osmosis stand.?

no nutes yet. they're probably over watered, maybe under watered. let the soil dry out some before watering again.

Ok ill try that. Another thing is, why are they so damn small? i have 1000whps at about 30 inches away from the plants, and for being almost 2 weeks old they seem really small?? any ideas

youve prob been overwatering them and stressing them out making them grow slower

you should see it start to move in like a week if the soil drys up a bit


but it could of just been the light change remember hps will cause the soil to dry up faster at the top so check the soil like an inch or two down if its dry or wet

I have a moisture meter and i wait until it gets into dry. But I am learning to not really trust this thing lol. Im not sure if u can see but the leaves are more yellow/light green tinit also. Will over water cause that?

yeah i ditched my moisture meter the plants tell you everything just let the soil dry out then water dry out water easy

it could be nute burn i noticed that the Fox Farm Ocean was a bit strong for my seedlings and burned them a bit

yea the meter seems to be a little "off" also i have not used any nutes yet, the yellow tint on the leaves makes me thing it needs the nutes, but they are still so small i think its too early for them. Ill let them dry out until its fairly dry about 5 inches into the pot and re water.

also you say u just replanted them correct?
they can just be in shock right now.

did you check your soil run off PH? you can pour water on them till you are blue in the face if the PH is off it will screw them up bad. check your run off PH and if it is low..add garden lime to the soil ..top dress it and water it through the soil good. good luck.

soil ph is 6.5 to 6.8. This is decent right?

first thing u need to do is get a hammer if that dont break the meter get a bigger hammer then throw it away. use ur hand to check to see if ur plants need watered pot feels light add water if not dont i think over watering is 1 of the most common problems i c on here. im sure the transplant shocked it. the light change could have something to do with it to back ur lights off and slowly move them closer its called hardening its like taking someone thats a lightweight and gets drunk off 2 beers and pukes and telling him here now shoot this bag of heroin. but all in all im going to go in the order of shock then watering then ph which i think u said is fine then to backing the lights off always use nutes as ur last step esp in an over watering prob cause to give more nutes means more water = way bigger problems and dont 4get to ditch the meter use ur hand to check the wieght

yea its a good PH so long as you are not going by one of those cheap probes.use a digital PH tester to test the run off with yea..and the liquid PH test kits you cant tell what the PH is with one of those in soil run off because the water is too murky .a good milwaukee 600 PH tester can be found on ebay for around 25 bucks or less.in my opinion it is a MUST have along with a blue labs truncheon meter for PPM. thats the spendy one.
