plants are too big!

So if the general rule is that a plant will double in size (height?) between veg and flower, I think I'm screwed.

Using that math, my little babies got a little too big for the room. Is there any topping/FIM technique that I can do right before I flower that can help me a) have a larger yield and b) not hit the ceiling?

Please respond quick, I was hoping to go 12/12 today!

Thanks,
SNOOB.

LST would be a good start as long as the stems are still at the stage where you can do some serious bending.

Also, there are some hormones which will stunt growth, but, that is at the molecular level and I am not a fan of messing with a plants internal chemistry.

I would search "LST" and NOT go to 12/12 today. Train them for a week, or two, and get them short then flower.

Also, you could scrog, though I think it might be too late for that.

If you bend the center stalk to where it's lower than the branches(without breaking it) the branches will then become the part that grows up giving you more room when you flower.

I'll go take a pic of what I'm talking about. BRB.

Most people say a plant will double to triple in height while in flower. I have grown highly predominantly sativas and pure sativas that jumped up four times in size, five times in size and when outdoors much more than that.

If you want to top follow the link below and do what Uncle Ben says to do.
