Plants aren't growing tall...

Hi all, This is my first time here. I'm a new grower and this is my third grow. I can never get my plants to grow tall. I bred two strains. 1. Jack herer with Gorilla Glue and 2. Jack Herer with Blueberry Kush. I'm currently growing both strains. They look healthy and they were vegged for 5 weeks. They're in the second week of flower, but they are about a foot in height. I germinated them on Mother's day and they popped 4 days later. Their stalks are nice and thick, but they are short. I have two 1000w Amazon LED lights about 2 feet above from the plants. Are the lights too close and the plants are getting plenty of light? Should I move the lights further up? The lights are Chinese knockoffs of course. I don't think they're true 1000w.

its genetics i am running 2 different strains one wants to grow 5 ft tall the other 1 ft same light soil etc

I think my plants are mostly sativa. I just moved the lights a foot higher because they were closer. I read as they mature in flower, you move the lights closer but it seems it works against me since the plants are not tall. Well, I’m a beginner. I wait until the soil is completely dry to water them. That’s how I got rid of the gnats, along with the traps. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all. I just moved the lights back down to 18 inches. I hope they stretch a little bit more. I’m planning to pick up a Mars t 1000. Nothing fancy and new, but good enough to provide consistency and good results.

Yah man I just picked up the Mars Hydro TS1000 to add with my two Mars Hydro 300watt their only actual 132 each plus the 1000 watt is 150 watts, so total of 414 watts. They get hot I had to mount the driver outside the tent.

Perfect. That’s what I’m going to do. The wife wants to start making gummies but I need to grow bigger plants for yield. Lol

Just checked and it’s at 282 in the middle. At the left side of the tent, it’s 38! The right side of the tent, 173. What is the ideal range? Isn’t it supposed to be around 700-800 during flower and at the end of flower, around 900?
