Yes, that means that it must have roots. Most people give the plant enough time for the roots to grow through just enough to see before planting. But yes, if it is growing, you do have roots.
As long as its growing, you're golden.Do you think it is a problem that I planted it before I saw roots pop from the rockwool, or no as long as it is growing?
As long as you're growing, you're good! Just give your kids plenty of TLC and they will give you plenty of THCDo you think it is a problem that I planted it before I saw roots pop from the rockwool, or no as long as it is growing?
This is what most growers do with new clones! It's sort of like starting your outboard motor, before, you launch the boat - just to make sure everything is going to be OK. It's really just a way to avoid extra work or expense by eliminating any cuttings that might not make it. It's probably the most senseable and popular approach!just keep it going. but i next time i would wait until i know it has some good roots going before trans planting it into something.
You can tug on a cutting (lightly, very lightly) after the 10 day mark and tell if it has roots if it doesn't just slide out of the rockwool or just pick up the wet clone by the stem (again carefully) and if the heavy cube doesn't just slide off...
Then you'll know it's ok to plant for sure, but that's only something to consider really if you're in that much of a rush you can't wait to just see them poke out on their own before planting.
Should there just be the top node with a few leaves around it or shoudl I have some fan leaves on, I have a feeling that because of the fan leaves they are being weighed down, any suggestions. And it shouldnt be a probelm trimming if they are alreayd in the dome right? Those are perfect clones. If that's droopyness I hope everyone has that problem.
I mean I was trying to keep the clones in there for a month till I want to flower. I dont know if that is going to work. Some of them seem a little droopy and it is the ones that have more leaves on them. How much green to leave is somewhat a matter of personal opinion. More leaf means yea it can wilt easier and needs more foliar spraying or use wilt spray, but they'll take off faster with more leaf to provide the power to grow up.
Less leaf means less spraying, might even not need a dome at all, but slower growth after rooting to really get up to speed.
I don't think either plays a real role in how fast the rooting itself happens, only how fast more vegetation comes after rooting.
If you think you have too much or want to spray less or whatever you can either take a leaf off or trim leaf tips off or leaves in half.
Maybe play with half one way and half the other.
You are using a dome for the first 5 days right? I don't think too much trimming is needed when using a dome, but with the right trimming many can clone with no dome at all even cloning under HID's as amazing as that is.
