Plants were fine until two days ago, picture was taken yesterday and has since got worse. I have three plants, all have the same symptoms. I have increased airflow, added fans and ventilation. Yesterday I managed to get a pH meter, found out my tap water was at 8 so I have adjusted to 6.5. I have also moved lights further away. I have never added fertilizer either as plants are in canna soil. I am at a loss and don't know what else to do. What is frustrating is for ten days they were in same well worse conditions actually and were fine, they now look like they are dying. Any help greatly appreciated.

Does any one think they need fed?

PS my soil is:

peat perlite
pH 5.8 6.2
dry matter 35%
organic matter 75%
npk 12-14-24
100% organic

With some clay pebbles at the bottom
Cheers

if you haven't been ph'ing water that could be the problem. so hard to tell when plants are so young. not looking good though. ph water to whatever is recommended for your media and back that light away to > 12" as seedlings this young require very little light.

Yeah that what I've done, I'm thinking its getting worse before it gets better.? if it helps The affliction started as white tips on the leaf, then spread turning brown with an almost leathery feel, then turned crispy today. I only got pH tester yesterday and was shocked that tap was so high, but was thinking as the soil is mostly peat it would buffer it a little. Idk?
Maybe I might be better tossing them and starting again?
Thank you for the help and input.

BTW would any one add nutes to canna soil after 12-14 days? The pots hold maybe a liter, they quite small. Should I transplant maybe? Or sort out the problem first? I'm in two minds. one is to try everything to fix them two is to let nature take its course. This is second grow lost first to exact same problem, but put it down to over fertilization/bad soil, which I know is not a factor this time.

If it was burn from heat or light, the old leaves won't get better so watch the new growth. Stress can slow down growth so it could be a week or more before you see the effect of any changes you made to remedy the problem.

So if you increased ventilation or otherwise got some ait exchange going and lowered canopy temps you wouldn't see the plants "get better" the next day. Watch the new growth. If it is still growing. however slowly, and it is green, it will be OK.

Cool thanks man.

Probably just let them try and recover then. I still have some seed so may plant a few more just in case but worried Ill run out of space. I could always set some free in the wild if that happens I suppose, I feel bad for the plants tho. Want them to be happy and comfortable.

Any one ever feel bad chopping them? :)
