Plants for just one person?

I am in the very beginning stages of my research so I figured id start here. If I wanted to grow (inside) just enough weed for one person to smoke about a gram a week, how many plants would be needed? (yes i know that everything depends on everything, like how much light and what the strain is etc...) I just want to get an idea as to how difficult it would be to grow my own weed, rather than buy it. Also, are there grow kits you can buy that are already set up? Basically the more information you can give me the better. Thanks.

Hey, there are a ton of resources available to you. My advice for starters would be to read a grow guide or book to get a good idea on the basics of growing. But as for your question, you could setup a small sea of green for perpetual harvesting that yields easily over a quarter every two weeks. Basically, you would have one mother plant that you would take say two clones from every two weeks. Once ready, you would put these guys into flowering, wait two weeks, take two more clones, etc. By the time the 8 week (or so) mark rolls around, you will be harvesting enough for personal smoke every two weeks

two to six if you want some kind of perpetual harvest action....shouldn't need to do that though

there are lots of kits...minus the plants of course...all depends on your preferred growing style
not sure what else to pitch in yet.....it's all just opinion too....

Good point , but we all know one gram turns to two which turns to three which turns to 28

PS. But really, he's right... One good plant would last you the year with a gram a week.

One plant I grow would last you all year. That's under a 1,000 watt hps though which you wouldn't need. You could use fluorescent lights and do 1-2 plants in a small space. Or you could get a larger space and grow a couple more so you only have to do a grow once a year and not worry about it the rest of the time.

shit, I wish I could get by with just smoking a joint (a gram) per week. Sheesh.. I'd be sitting on pounds upon pounds. My house would be filled with buds everywhere if I only smoked a gram per week.

anyhow, if that's really all you smoke man.. then yeah, you'd be alright with just one plant. However, if it were me? I would do two plants.. just to be safe.

gram a week, that describes my use pretty close, daily user too, just vape 1/10 of a gram per day(for depression/anxiety issues)
i grow 1 plant at a time under 78w of cfl's, this has provided enough for what i use(just enough)
