Plants hit by early frost... Now what?

The weather man predicted 36 degrees but it got down to 28 last night and didn't get above freezing until after 7am. They were completely uncovered so I'm wondering what the damage could be. I checked on my girls today, they looked unchanged so far, so I just took some samples.

I have two Fruity Chronic Juice indicas at about 6 foot, 3 foot wide that had an estimated finish for middle of September. Most of the stigmas are brown and it might be ready to harvest. I'm borrowing a friend's magnifying lens tonight to take a closer look at the trichomes. Does it matter if it's been unattached to from the plant for a few hours?

I also have one OG Kush Hybrid that isn't expected until October. It looks behind the other two, and the stigmas are just starting to turn brown now.

There are no more days predicted below 40 this week and the rest of the month actually looks decent. It's been a good hot summer and I'm guessing the ground temp didn't get horribly chilled. It was just one freak early frost. If they are not ready yet do I need to pull them ASAP anyway or can I wait to see if they start declining?

P.S. Sorry for my inactivity on the forum. I just like to keep a low profile. I might be able to post pics tomorrow if I can find a camera that works better than my cell phone. Thanks for any responses! I'll check back tomorrow.

Hey Hawks, yeah I had a couple frost's here in Ontario Canada and mine are fine as well. Don't worry about leaving them especially if the nights are going to be getting better for a few weeks, try to leave them all until the 10th of October, it's still early and I bet even your September finishers could use a couple more weeks of swelling. It's hard to say with out looking at pictures, but do try and leave those ones till the first and the other ones until the 10th or later. You should be good to go and you'll be glad you left them when you get double the weight you have now. Also what did you mean when you said unattached from the plant? what got unattached? If you mean the magnifying glass, just check it out whenever you can nothing needs to be attached.

I'm feeling a little more confident my plants aren't doomed. Thanks! I've just seen too many doomsday prophecies when people talk about frost.

I checked the trichomes last night and they were all still white/clear, so they do need more time. I wasn't sure if it mattered if they'd been sitting around a few hours before I checked them, so thanks for clearing that up codster!

The fans leaves are starting to shrivel and die, but the rest of the plant looks healthy as ever! I'm not sure if this is becuase of the colder nights (around 40/45 degrees) or because I've only been watering them once a week now. Should I be watering more?

I couldn't get my camera working, but I took some cell shots that I can upload later tonight.

I worrying a hard frost here in MA/Z6. I have never had any trouble with a "light" frost but a hard one could be trouble. It must be nice not to have the cold as a consideration.
I have had chit take light frost. I think the colder temps stimulate rapid growth and resin production but the draw back is even a light frost will kill EVERYTHING else around your grow!! Talk about standing out like a sore thumb. Big bright green weed plants surrounded by brown dead frost killed anuals...

Nah it hast to be exposed to frost for like 3 days in row before growth is stunted, and if it persist then the plant may die depending how lows temps are getting but Ive learned these plants are really strong they can take lots of stress, lol I stressed these plants to limit it would take like of frost for it to die :) more then enough time to harvest

Yeah these plants are strong..even the sativas can handle a few frosts and keep going..had a freebie lemon haze a few years back that I pulled in mid november that was still green as hell and needed another 5-6 weeks...did not get a harvest it was too premature but had to remove her because that was the only thing in my yard or any neighbors yard that was still alive...probably handled 15 nights below 30 degrees.
