The weather man predicted 36 degrees but it got down to 28 last night and didn't get above freezing until after 7am. They were completely uncovered so I'm wondering what the damage could be. I checked on my girls today, they looked unchanged so far, so I just took some samples.
I have two Fruity Chronic Juice indicas at about 6 foot, 3 foot wide that had an estimated finish for middle of September. Most of the stigmas are brown and it might be ready to harvest. I'm borrowing a friend's magnifying lens tonight to take a closer look at the trichomes. Does it matter if it's been unattached to from the plant for a few hours?
I also have one OG Kush Hybrid that isn't expected until October. It looks behind the other two, and the stigmas are just starting to turn brown now.
There are no more days predicted below 40 this week and the rest of the month actually looks decent. It's been a good hot summer and I'm guessing the ground temp didn't get horribly chilled. It was just one freak early frost. If they are not ready yet do I need to pull them ASAP anyway or can I wait to see if they start declining?
P.S. Sorry for my inactivity on the forum. I just like to keep a low profile. I might be able to post pics tomorrow if I can find a camera that works better than my cell phone. Thanks for any responses! I'll check back tomorrow.
