Plants may be too big. I need advice.

Hello guys, i have started 2 plants from seed about 3 months ago, maybe 4, and have grown them under a 16-24h light per day (varying). Although they grew really slow in my opinion ( 31in (80cm) and 33in (85 cm) ), i read some threads saying that in flowering phase, the plants will double, if not tripple in size. That could be a problem since i grow them in a 180cm tent out of which 145 is usable, since 35cm below the top is the cool tube. Plants are alread around 1m high with the pots so do you guys have any advice on what to do before i get them to 12/12?

On the left is Pure Power Plant, and on the right is Northern Lights x5.

Also, they look really skinny to me, am i wrong? And lower parts of the plants look pretty deserted (had many yellow/dry leaves that i chopped off).

Thanks,

Dj

Yep they will double. If more sativa dominant could tripple.

all information in this post is purely fictional and must be taken as such.

Some options...

1. Chop / top it by an established set of branches low enough on the plant that will still allow you to flower her.

2. Make them both mother plants and cut a bunch of clones to flower using a SOG approach.

3. Make more room to flower them as is.

Best of luck, regardless.

Although pretty old, the plants have just started to shoot branches from the sides, so there are pretty small number of them, if i take clones, would the mother still be going to shoot new branches during 12/12?
