so I transfered these plants into 3 different places first a grow tent, then had to put it in my closet and then I had to build a special room in my bedroom for them and they grow at least 4 inches a day, they have been flowering for about 4 weeks and buds are starting to show a little but now it's past the light again after a day and i don't want to cut it because there looks like there's going to be some good bud there. should i just let it grow above the light? will that effect the buds from growing? Not sure what to do. I did top them before i started flowering them. I have no where else to put them

ok cool I'll put pics up tomorrow with a better camera....I have a glass plate covering the bottom of light fixture should I just let it bend on it's own against that glass

Hehe welcome to the wonderful world of growing cannabis ! Trying to judge what the stretch is going to do is one of the more difficult things to judge as different strains stretch more so than others and at different times than others. I've done the same thing and have it going on once again where I've busted out of my tents, ran out of room for the lights and now have them tacked to the ceiling beams and now I have nowhere else to go. Once they're flowering you dont want to crop the tops anymore because thats where your best bud is likely to be, that is, if you dont burn the shit out of them because they're too close to the lights.
I know this much, never again will I grow using any other method but LST. I thought just this once I would try growing straight up and cropping once in awhile to see if I could get my yields up and thats not the case. Despite using every inch of height in my growroom, this run will have the worst yields I've had yet.
So, by trying something to increase the yield, I've actually gone the other way and reduced it.
Fuck :(
But hey, its not a total loss either and whats there is just drippin in crystal so its all good. Its always a continuing learning experience. The next run will be better....(if I dont burn the fuckin house down that is)

Pinch stem to soften so you can bend without breaking. Tie the stems down, problem solved.
Plant growing against glass will build heat, burn and or block light which is not good.

so I tied some of the branch down this morning and tonight when I went to take these pictures the top end of the branch started pointed upward toward the light...lol

LST, FIM, etc... all that works well to reduce height and increase overall size and yield... Like Cobnobuler said though, itz a never-ending learning experience, and an ever-growing passion, so it will only get better with more practice...

The 4 inch clones i cut last month are growing too tall too,I'm sure it's the HPS though since they got skinny long branches vs their mother who has THICK long
branches.I would LST but the stems Hardened already.
