What did they steel besides the plants, because they are going to have a hard time putting a value on a couple plants. Which means they wont give a shit and even if they find the guy prob not worth taking him to jail. So if they took your lights, then ya call them and make a report, but if they only took your plants its not worh the hassle.
One thing you need to look out for is.....either it was someone you know or it was someone that you showed. Keep an eye out, they may come back again in a couple months.

If your plants weren't budding i'd say forget it because what are they going to smoke leaves? It's a tragedy i know someone that has been robbed before but we know who did it. If your running a small operation and your leagal,you could call the cops but if you do they will know your growing; I personally don't like that idea because cops are pests when they are not helping you. I'd keep a better look out for people watching your house or looking over frequently,especially when your working on them.

i would call if your legal. they can dust and find out who the bastard was that stole the medicine you need to live. it would if someone stole your script. of perks....screw themm and call. and you might want to think about putting a small alarm on the shed. i would bet it is someone who knows you. people dont just randomly break into sheds to steal weed.

i called and they refused to take a report my lights and everything were also taken. he broke my lock and i have a no trespassing sign. the worse part is i saw them and caught them in the act and know thier name. whos supposed to pay for the damage to my shed, my light and fertilizers. The officer even went as far to tell me that they dont even take reports about perscription drugs like vicodin. so i said if they broke into my house and took my pain pills its ok and he said basicly it is because its drugs he then hung up on me. i wish i could sue for discrimanation but im to poor

That might work, I was in law enforcement and let me tell you, if a cop doesnt believe you or in your cause they will ignore you. Find one that smokes on his days off and you will get a response. DO NOT let anyone say officers of the law never smoke. Well, thats why officers and other government officials, this includes CDF too, they get a 30day notice of physiucal. Guess what they test for. Find one that cares and you will get swift justice, like you complain at a restaraunt, you never complain to the waitress.

Think about this rationally....If you don't know who did it, what do you get by calling the cops? Let's assume you get them to write up a report....You're going to accomplish absolutely nothing....They're not going to dust for prints, your plants don't have anything on them to identify it being yours so it's not like it's going to be found and returned to you. Your home owners won't cover you and will probably cancel your coverage. You will gain absolutely nothing...What will happen is your insurance carrier will drop coverage and all the state cards in the world won't matter. The cops are going to know about your garden and all future grows will be in jeopardy. Why would you want bring all that attention to yourself? If you had a lot of plants then you definately don't want anyone knowing and if you were only doing a few, then take the loss and move on to your next harvest. Your loss is minimal considering all that could happen.
If you happen to know who it was, then like stated above, go beat some ass...No cop is going to waste time following up on this and even if they did, nothing will come of it and they can't make anything stick unless you have rock solid proof. Even then, no DA is going to prosecute.

I couldn't have said it better my man. If you're gonna deal with it deal with it on your own in due time, let them think they got away with it. But police couldn't give 2 shits if your garden was stolen all it is is more paperwork to fill out for the officer.
Anyhow, sorry to hear of your loss. Wish you better luck on your next grow.

I missed this post....What is your no trespassing sign supposed to do? So you saw them, caught them in the act and didn't do anything? And you know who they are or you just know their name because you happened to overhear them refer to each other by name? Dude, even if you were scared to confront them, you could have made some noise or something and chances are they would have dropped everything and hauled ass out of there.
Considering you already called the cops and assuming you gave them your address already, call them back again and tell them your shed was broken into and property was stolen. Don't mention anything about plants because that'll just fuck things up. Tell them lights were stolen and all that other stuff and see if they'll follow up. If when you called and didn't give them your address, disregard everythign I just said and take the loss. Also, I wouldn't grow anything for a month or 2. Because chances are they'll be back to take more lights and stuff because they'll rightfully assume you bought more and are continueing.
