Hey everyone.
So finally was able to upgrade from my wimpy T5's to my new LED light.
This is my first time growing LED. I was growing under a pretty small 2 bulb T5 light from Agrobrite.
My plants weren't getting enough light and were stretching pretty bad.
Finally got the Viparspectra R900 900W LED in. I switched the lights out. the manual said to start with only the Veg switch on then once they're acclimated switch both Veg and Bloom switches on. So only the Veg switch is on atm.
The first day they acted completely fine but the LED let off more heat than expected and ended up drying out my soil in the first 2 days. I noticed some under watering stress. Watered them and they bounced back by the next morning. Also got some additional fans and got some circulation coming through the door.
The day after that (yesterday) my tops were wilting so I was thinking they were too close to the LED so I raised it up from about 20 inches above canopy to 26 inches above canopy.
but today they're still wilting and I'm not seeing any growth. Is this regular? Should I expect some stress/shock when introducing them to a much more powerful light? Anything I can do to help these girls out or should I just let them adjust.
Some additional info about the grow.
1 Orange Creamsicle and 1 Cuvee
I'm only feeding them PH'ed water in veg as that's how I like to do it. PH'ed water is always kept from about 6.0-6.5
Temps are kept between 80 degrees and 85 degrees (at least I do my best to keep it in this range)
LED light is about 26.5 inches from top leaves on my canopy.
Pictures attached.
