Please help, hoping this isn't pm

As the title says.. hoping this is not pm, was transplanting my plants and noticed a couple of the top leaves on a few of my plants had this white stuff on them. I thought it was strange as from I understand pm typically starts on lower parts of the plant that are more shaded. My humidity sits at about 50-55% and temps sit at 70-75 degrees, I have good air flow and ventilation so I'm not sure as to how this could happen. I have found no random spots on the leaves or stems, just a few have it on the outsides of the leaves. As well I do foliar spray with veg+blooms push product which has silica in it, I was hoping maybe it's just left over residue from foliage feedings?

Youre probably right, its probably just residual spray. Pm usually forms circles and is fungus like. Soft and cotton looking. A good way to test if you have the right conditions for pm is to find a spot where leaves over lap and put your finger in there. If its wet or damp then you need to do something. Dont stop watching though. I might be reading the picture wrong.

That's how I thought it formed. I haven't seen any circular spots it just seems like it's only showing up in the edges. From what I've seen of pm it looks like like dull light splotches in the earlier stages, where as this seems a bit thicker. As for it being damp or wet I couldn't find any places that were. I prune/train my plants regularly so there's not a lot of dark spots and plenty of air movement. I checked it under a 100x scope and I couldn't see any black or brown spores in it and there was no webbing

I can wipe it off yes but spraying it did nothing.

Yeah I've seen a lot of it and that doesn't look like PM to me, just wipe and keep an eye on it. Only thing close to that I've seen is sometimes if I'm not careful when I pollinate, after I spray them down with water I get stuff that looks like that on the leaves where extra pollen got wet.

I've been growing for about 5 years now and have never dealt with pm so when I saw this it had me pretty worried. I appreciate the reassurance

If its all on the edges, its probably from stuff dripping down the leaves, stalling out, and then drying and dehydrating the salts out of solution and back to salts.

whenever I've had pm(outdoors) I can wipe it with a wet cloth or paper towel and while it's wet it will appear to be gone, but from my own experiences if it's pm,it usually shows right back up on the same leaf, same spot once it's dried.
Its been so long since ive dealt with that i dont really remember if it came right back. Typically i havent seen it come back i think, because i treat for it and usually it takes me about a week to get rid of it.

Yeah, if the conditions don't change, wiping it off will only last a few days and it'll come right back ime.

I'm leaning towards it being dehydrated salts at the moment. When I wipe it it goes away and I haven't seen it come back since it dried. I haven't seen it spread anywhere since I posted. I did remove the leaves that had the white residue and sprayed with 420 fungus bully (received a few samples a little while ago).

Is there any for sure way for me to tell if this is pm or not? Without having to wait to see if it comes back or spreads?

It doesn't come back (at least so far) after I wipe it. But if I spray it with anything it disappears and comes back when it's dry

I think you've had more experienced growers than me tell you you're ok.and all of us agree it probably isnt.I personally really don't think it is.pm is scary but you're doing all you can.keep your humidity down, keep your fans running, and check your plants twice a day. I'm not an indoor guy,but have dealt with pm outdoors.I'm very vigilant about checking for it,then using the appropriate method when found.prevention in your case,is your best bet since youre inside and can (somewhat ) control your environment . good luck

Can't think of a way to tell other than posting up here again if you suspect anything. One thing I don't have is pics of PM because my only focus when I've seen it is to get rid of it as quickly as possible - lol

Typically (always exceptions) when I've seen it, it tends to start on lower leaves and moves up from there if it's not taken care of.

Most of my experience with PM comes from my outdoor, the area I moved to a few years back before I even started indoor grows has terrible PM. It gets on every bush and turns them white some years. Because of that I've tracked it into my room the odd time.

Now I sulfur burn (empty room) in between rounds to kill any potential spores and it stays away. I also spray my veg plants before going into 12/12 with a simple baking soda/soap/oil mix to kill any potential PM and cull any strains/phenos that show it in veg. If they show it in veg, it'll show up in flower no matter what you spray or burn with.

this is going to sound stupid, but in your pics it looks too damn powdery to be pm if that makes sense lol.my pm always was more contained within itself and more of a hazy, white and nowhere near as "powdery".

I understand exactly what you're saying lol. From comparing pictures it looks a lot more powdery then pm. As well it seems like pm may be more of a dull white.

Thanks for the input and help man hopefully I won't have to post about this one again lol
