Please help, i think my seeds are dead

So i germinated 8 lr2 seeds like 4 or 5 days ago, Had them in a hot press where i keep towels n stuff for the first few days, Nothing was happening, so i put alot of tinfoil around em for insulation and put em over an incandescent bulb for heat, i woke up the next morning to see they have all cracked there shells.

As the days go on, there is very very very little tap root growth...I don't know why, I go to check on them about an hour ago and all the tap roots have gone brown and kind of shriveled up, they had gone dry I put more water on em and the white colour is returning to the tap root, BUT I FEAR IT MAY BE TOO LATE

im so pissed off i cant believe this is happening....Are my seeds dead? please help.

They are dead

With tricky seeds i do this...
make sure plenty of humidity in atmosphere.. almost like put in dish then clear cup over them... and I douse them with thrive alive... put light right on them to produce heat..
works for me every time...

funny thing is, One seed, i germinated with holy water(serious) Its the only one that grew

So are they dead then? I thought you had to wait til the taps were about 1/4 inch long

To if ya touch that root with your finger they die. Use a tweezer.

Y does it die if u touch it with your finger??

And how long should the taps be before i plant em

as long as u want them to be but id wait till there like 1/4 maybe a lil bigger

I dont know why. Did ya touch them? If ya just take the seeds and a cup with 2 inches of water. Soaks the seeds for 24 hrs and plant them ya will not have a problem. They will be up in a few days. Keep it simple.

I didn't know that, im gonna try that next time, hopefully these seeds arent dead

I just checked on em and the white colour has come back to the tap root, they are still kinda withered though, getting better though which is good.
