Bro im using same mix of ffof/coco. Curious how your plant final result was. Personally I thought your issue was light related cuz of the leaves curling down but we'll never know so i won't debate seasoned growers. But light burn kills taste since u spoke of harshness. Once I moved my light 24 to 30 inches things got better. Late bloom issues don't worry me cuz u can still have a nice harvest and great buds. So far I personally like the mix of ffof/coco but im only 3 weeks in on this run. Let us know how your grow turned out in the end. There's alot of haters that will never bend on mixing mediums but I believe with experience and knowledge u can make anything work the way u want it to and produce quality bud.
Yes with experience you can take something that you made more complicated than it needed to be and make it work.
But with more experience you learn to keep things simple and itl work without trying.

That can very well be true. Im not in disagreement with u. But im sure I'm not the first or last to try to do things a lil different then the norm.

The Rev was an editor for Skunk Magazine and the breeder behind Kingdom Organic Seeds (KOS). He wrote the book: “True Living Organics”, on his method of living-soil type cultivation.
I've been reading some of his work. He is a grow God of some sort. Great knowledge from this guy. He also speaks on the light being used to close or intense killing bud taste. And I follow "welcome to the grow tent" on YouTube. He gets massive buds by not putting his light on full strength until week 8 or 9 and keeps it 30" from tops. Most guys including myself start off by blasting the light at 12-18" away trying to get best and biggest bud but it reacts just the opposite by making plant work harder to transfer more water and to process the harsh light. Sometimes its a slow burning so u don't notice or u think its a deficiency when it appears.
