is the cool tube just sucking through the tube then back into the room
the way i run mine cool air into the tube from the outside then through the tube then into a exhaust line
the first pic is in from a cooler room
the second in out into the exhaust line
at the wall in the cooler room is a fan that pushes the through

you have air blower??
what is you cool tube size?
4" cool tube (home made from pyrex) is ok for 400W hps??

yes a small inline fan at the start
my tube size is 150mm
100mm is fine for a 400hps
they are 600s in my pics but start with cool air and expel hot air
the whole point is to keep the heat of the light out of the room

Yes I will be doing the same thing (400wHPS in a homemade cooltube). Get an inline fan above 150CFM. Your heat problems will magically go away ;)

Also, get rid of those PC fans or use them for intake; they're useless otherwise if the CFM is so low.

You need a 6" cool tube with at least 150 cfm blower. Also, in your pics I dont see a seperate exauhst fan for the closet itself. Do you have one? You need and 6" cool tube hooked to a vortex style blower with an intake OUTSIDE the room and the exauhst OUTSIDE the room. You also need another vortex style blower exhausting the cabinet air seperatley, this blowershould be hooked up to a temp/humidity controller but can just be on all the time as well. You will need a PC fan blowing intake air into the room. I highly recommend a larger 6 inch pc fan for this but a regular 4 inch should work fine.

i had the same issue and yes you are right... you can do that or get rid of the intake hose and vent the air in the cab out. from the cool tube with the bigger exhaust fan
