Please help me pick a strain that yeilds good in a SCROG

Hey all, like the title says I need a strain that does good in a scrog....something that doesn't take forever to veg(like the querkle I'm growing) and something that gives a good yield in a 8 week flowering period.

I was reading a lot of ppl scrog Barney's farm Violator Kush and I almost ordered a pack but I though I'd post here first and see what people have to say.

I also have been wanting to grow ak47 from serious seeds...would that be a good choice? Is it really a rapid growing, monster yielding, really potent smelling strain or is it hyped up a bunch...

You looked at Jillybean ?, probably not as potent as that Kush though.

hey man violator kush isnt the easiest grow, nor a large producer. ive just saw some huge "THC bomb" plants from "bomb seeds". From my experience the best yielding plant ive grown so far, is Nirvana Blackberry. I saw a guy with some serious setups online and i think he did SCROG as well. he had a bunch of strains, and out of everything he had the best yielder and maybe best overall was his G13 labs Pineapple Express. i actually just got a pack of those, not only because of his grow and other online, but also because ive tried it twice recently in my area and north of here. both of those times it had an AWESOME flavor and very dense resin covered buds. it was better than the dj short blueberry , and sensi fruity juice (juicy fruit, whatever) and those were both top notch as well. i would recommend THESE 3: G13 labs pinapple express, Nirvana Blackberry, Bomb seeds THC bomb. those have been the biggest yielders ive seen so far. hey btw someone on RIU here has a super nice nirvana blackberry scrog! i have one 9 weeks into 12/12 as well, super nice!

ya know i was re-reading what u said... i dont know much about ak-47, every time ive supposedly had it it wasnt all that fantastic. i did have some ak48 from nirvana once tho and it was better than i expected. much better than the ak47 i tried, maybe just cuz of the growers tho. ak48 is a super heavy yielder tho and might be one of the most popular strains ever. certainly nirvana's most popular. its a mix of a specially selected ice plant, and a specially selected jock horror plant. the mix would normally be mostly sativa but, somehow it remains indica pattern growth and flowering time, with a primarilly sativa high. ak47 is suppossed to be similar to that too high wise i mean. but ive seen some ak48 plants with tons and tons of bud on them. of course its easier to find that when a strain is popular so i dont know...

ive been prejudice against Nirvana because ive read so many bad things about them over the years...so ill prob steer clear from their gear

Oh and i bumped into Critical Mass from CH9 thats supposed to have a monster yield and flower in 55 days???? anyone confirm? or is that a bunch of bs?

Nirvana is a better breeder than CH9. precisely because of the regular seeds you dont want to grow.

yah fem plants are great but nothing grows like regular beans

the male is very essential to the breeding project

when you have fem seed you have half the genepool

im not falling for anything, im doing a scrog... and unless i want to wait a month for clones i need some guaranteed females

? lol just sex the plants and reveg them ?

fem seeds dont have teh quality you want their gonna be more prone to pests stress the whole gig thats why certain breeders fem seeds hermie so bad

you want qaulity control when it comes to seeds

Fmrboi- I see your a fan of Jilly Bean? Is the flowering period really an 8 weeker? I am interested in throwing this in the mix if it can be run Fuct style. I am doing independent NFT tubes, but am also working on a 5th spot just for those that need to sit 9 or 10 weeks with top feed only, 9 weeks tops preferably.

omfg i was stoned and didnt even realize there was a 2nd page lmao.... that G13 looks hella interesting, i wanted to get seeds from attitude to catch the cannabis cup promo....next grow im def feeling that G13, hopefully ill have this scrog thing down or at least halfway decent after growing these THC Bombs lol..... 2 of the 3 querkles im growing r males X_X fml ... i wonder how long it would take to fill up this screen with just 1 querkle.... i bet it would be longer than the time it would take to veg 3 fem thc bombs, these things grow slowwwwww

as long as you call flowering after the stretch is over and not when you flipped to 12/12
this one is at 6 weeks from the flip.

Jillybean is a winner, i just finished harvesting my 5 and they have such a inconspicuous smell, its like i could have been growing this for years in my backyard and nobody would know. cant wait till they cure since i got some orange-lemon heads smelling pheno's that had my mouth watering during the trimming session. i got the best plant cloned indoors, so i got a male keeper jillybean for breeding and now i got a female keeper! does good in scrog, doesnt stretch TOO much but it does haver some sativa tendency. took 10 weeks to flower after moving them outdoors.

Let me know how long that goes from the flip. I would be running 12/12 from rooted clones. Those look pretty good at 6 though. Curious to see what the trich mix is at 8 weeks. Also have some c99 x a11 beans on the way. Building up the catalog to see what works best in the long run.

it took 10 weeks outdoors (shitttttttty weather this season) but it can take 9-10 weeks after the flip, this strain is stable but you can get variation depending on what you feed it, some smell amazing and others or just good. solid yields on her,and she clones well, took me a week to get strong roots from an outdoor female in full bloom, so the growth is strong. try it you wont be disappointed, unless you are lol.
