Hi everyone...

I really need help deciding what light to use for putting my plants into flower! This is my first time and I've been using a mercury halide bulb for veg. My friend has told me that I should use a 250w envirolight as heat is a big problem in my set up. I'm doing a mini screen of green thing and using wire to old them down. What lights would you guys suggest I get? Cost heat are the only real factors

Cheers!

or would it be using a 70w low-pressure sodium bulb alongside my mercury halide bulb be enough for the job?

I would personally get 150w high-pressure sodium fixture: ballast + bulb + reflector, haha.

High Tech Garden Supply For $69 (about $83 if you include shipping & handling).

150 watts hps will help you out a ton, and not use up much energy.

yeah that box is tiny though, like 2ft high max... hps is gonna cause so much heat in there... even with 2 fans!

Your plants look sweet man .
Ive seen people use a mh and cfls to flower a few plants and it worked out ok for them yours should yield better than cfls alone, Thou its not advisable a high pressure sodium is the way to flower atm .

If it was me it finish of that grow with whats there take some clones and invest in a hps for the clones getting ready to flower about when these plants are dryed and cured ....
