A 1000W single end HID is only good for about a 5'x5' space in veg and about a 4'x4' space in flower. For a 32' long run, your looking at about ( 8 ) 1KW lights for a 4'x32' space.
Not all LED's are created equal. For this reason and your perceived level of experience in LED's, I'd recommend just running switchable digital 1K ballasts and get you some 1000W MH bulbs and some 1000W HPS bulbs so you can switch out as you see fit over the duration of the grow(s).
LED and HID both bring their own qualities to the table, its on you to figure out what qualities will best suit your growing needs.
Um, set them on 6 ft centering. Your overlapping your lighting with 1K's. So, you can run continuous on that line - 6 lights - 7 max and your over doing it at 7 a bit too. Not that it hurts at all though!
I've run that pattern for years and years. Now doing it with my HYGROW LED's - shorter plants and an extra unit on each row.
Brings me to this -
Stay away from Ebay sellers too most are knockoffs.
I ran side by sides for 2 whole runs (bloom room only) Ran A TRUE HLG 550 V2 - 1K HID single end in 20% more reflective hoods - HYGROW direct copies of the HLG but with the H diodes, not the B's.
I got the best results from the HYGROW LED's.
The rest of the HID was removed and I had the guy build me 7 more of his HLG "copies".
BTW what you built is a "Knockoff", technically...
Waiting to get the power supplies from the maker is a big issue right now. AND at 62. I didn't want to learn to build my own. I can afford someone who already knows what their doing, do it for me...
MY choice,
I know....NOTHING wrong with building your own either!
Here, open these up and the red board is the "TRUE" HLG.
The silver boards are the HYGROW's
Now count the # of diodes on each.... I feel that,, is why the Hygrow's outdid the HLG's
