High I was wondering how much grams with buds does a cannabis plant produce? I am going to buy a 1000 w. HPS lamp and if i treat the plants right , how much gram will i get then?

Hi there and welcome... Well first off, you are a newbie yes? Well grammage is the last thing you need to be thinking about right now...

What sort of plant do you want to grow? Indica or Sativa? What sort of system will you be using? Aeroponics, hydroponics, soil, DWC, flood and drain. What nutes do you plan on using? How long do you plan to veg them for?

All these things make up how much pot one plant will produce.. We might need a little bit more information...

Have you done any reading on Marijuana?.. Start looking at the newbie threads and do some independent learning..? Keep asking questions to people with lots of posts as they are the wise ones... Do searches before you ask questions that will have undoubtly been asked a hundred times previously...It just takes a little time, but if you discover information for yourself, you will retain it better...

You will fall in love with growing, the hobby itself is much more addictive that the plants we grow... Remember the more you know, the better you will grow...I've been growing for nearly 10 years on and off...And I am still learning...Check my journal if you want to see a 1000 watt light in action...

Way too many variables to even ballpark that figure. 0-1000 grams is probably safe...

To give you some idea of what to expect....if you use all the area of coverage of that 1000 watt light, whether it be 4 big plants, or many little plants, you should be able to get about 1/2 gram per watt if you don't run into a bunch of problems(which is likely, being that it's your first time.lol). So, if everything goes okay, you might get a pound of dried smoke, but realistically I'd be happy with 1/2 pound on your first try.
