PLEASE HELP!!!!My 600W HPS has broken in 4days

why my hps so easy to broken?
my HPS gone colour black inside.
Do you guys think is my grow room too hot? 85F degree?
and now I used 2 x CFL 200W instead.
But I know it will grow so slow, because I just change my CFL light to HPS light 4 days ago,
It has a huge different.

Do I need a special timer for my 600W HPS grow light?

sounds like a case of bad luck. 85's not too hot and a timer wouldn't protect your light. Just bad luck bud. contact your seller and replace under warranty.

Put the new one outside your room if you can. It will save on the heat dispersed into the room - not a reason for that when your already at 85.

The bulb is just bad, assuming it is the correct bulb for the ballast I can think of no torture that would cause it to go bad in 4 days, take the bulb back to the store and get a replacement.
