please help my babies they are drying up!

does anyone have any suggestions on what could be happening to these plants, they are 23 days since planting and this had been happening in the last couple of days. I have been watering every 2 days and i have just transplanted today!!
The first 2 pictures are the problem and the 2nd 2 pictures are from 20 days.
Any feed back will be appreciated

Did you water the babies a few hours before you transplanted and right after transplanting?

Remember, fresh potting soil is usually very dry.

yes i did water them before and after they were like this before i transplanted i noticed it the yesterday morning. i had to transplant cos they were rootbound i could see through the drainage holes at the bottom i thought maybe that was the problem. i am using cfl so i dont think it is a heat problem.

23 days and that's all the growth you have?...WOW somethings wrong, as for how they look...heat...cfl's put out more heat then you think, and it looks like your misting them with the lights on...BAD BAD BAD, creates little magnifying spots that burn your plant...how close are the lights? and how many do you have?

Actually it looks like nute burn now that i look at it...what are you using?

Also before you water always make sure the soil is a little on the dry side...stick your finger in about 2" and feel how moist it is...if it's still fairly moist don't water, i only water every 3-4 days. Watering every 2 days could be bad if the soil is still wet

well when i transplanted i noticed they were quite rootbound so maybe that is the reason for little growth. as for nutes i have not yet introduced any will start in a week or so as the new soil will have enough nutes for now. but i have misted them a few time with the lights on this is most probably where i have gone wrong.
i have four plants all about the same size except for one that had a slight problem at the start here is a pic of them aat 22 days and a picture of the small one at day 18, and the cfl is about 3 to 4 inches from the top.

for me.. these looks like too much nutrients or too wet soil.. never water your plants untill the soil is dry.. my own powerplants are already over 110cm tall

be careful with misting...if the humidity around your young plants is not correct or stable this will stunt growth and cause other probs, maybe even fungus
water evenly at least every 2 days. and turn the top of the soil with a fork or something,allowing the soil to take in more air. use a measuring jug,giving an even amount every time you water. i would say forget the misting, it always seems to cause more probs than gains. plus, its extra work. the plants are so small at the moment, LET THEM GROW, dont play with them. and start with a lower PH. about 5.5..looking at these, i would say you got small roots. ph5.5 will allow thr roots to form better...good luck

Less watering. every 2 days is too much unless your plants are root bound. Big plants use more water its true, but if the pot they are in is correctly sized you shouldn't have to water more than once or twice a week. 5.5 PH would be ok, IF IT WERE HYDRO, its soil so you want it around 6.5, 5.5 will lock out all sorts of nutrients, i think padigreenfinger might have gotten a bit confused there.
