RIU!!

For those of you who remember my first post (https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/731017-n00b-who-actually-knows-shes.html) got some news for you. And for those of you that dont, thats ok too but you maaaaayyyyy wanna pull it up for reference.
BUT BASICALLY.
This is my first grow and I'd done everything wrong that you could do wrong. And upon realizing this, decided to continue growing the plants anyways, just so we had some experience with growing (we eventually TRIED to do it right ).

So for starters, apparently i have a HORRIBLE sense of time lapsed and the plants I deemed to be about 8wks old in actuality, at the time were about 2 weeks haha. So now they are just about 5 weeks old.
One plant had been in a 3 gallon pot and the other two (DUMB) in a 5. So needless to say they both grew, but one was horrendously stunted. It was short and wasnt really getting any new leaf growth.
We knighted him 'the little guy'.
At one point we noticed that they were over watered (drainage issue in the soil) so we decided to transplant them into soil that had the proper amount of perlite so they could drain right, in addition to worrying about root rot. Transplant went well...er...as well as a transplant can actually go for a couplea n00bs.
The two we had potted together. Man. Their roots were like a fucking mob scene, so we were forced to transplant them together because...well....we are n00bs after all and i dont know any surgeons to come pick apart their roots without damaging anything lol
So then we came across what we believed to be nutrient burns. Then what we believe to be heat stress (to this very minute it's STILL too hot in there *about 80-82 under the lights and roughly 80 in the rest of the grow space*. We got an actual humidifier...but it broke after like 3 days and humidity has sucked sacks since. I think its at like...31%. Blech.
SO. All things considered, we sort of....gave up, if you will, on the two plants in the same pot. They still got attention (ie water nutes and light) but probably not as much attention as we gave the cheese that stood alone, lol and not cheese the strain. we be workin wit bag seed...yo! :wall:

So I went in to check on the plants yesterday morning at around 10. Im sitting there on the floor, giving them my daily once over.

And I shit you not when I tell you this is EXACTLY how this happened.

I say to myself, ok looks like the guy by himself is doin alright, prolly needs to be fed here soon. Move it on down the line to the next plant, which happens to be 'the little guy' and the bigger plant in the pot is the last one.
Im looking real hard at the little guy for some reason, something looked...off. Or perhaps just different, I didnt know so I moved closer to see better...And I honestly didnt believe what I was seeing. So I took a step back, blinked a few times, rubbed my eyes, took my glasses off and cleaned em and leaned back in.

And sure the fuck enough. The little 'guy' is actually the little GIRL.
Go fucking figure that the ONLY plant (so far anyway) that shows signs of sex is the smallest, and probably the most sick out of all 3. Granted, Im working from bag seeds Id collected over time, so God only knows what kind of genetics we got goin with it. And with all of the stress that we've put it through....HOW IN THE HELL IS IT THE ONLY ONE POPPIN PISTILS LIKE ITS GETTIN PAID?!? lol

HERE COMES THE FUN PART.
the diagnoses. (Every one of you are now Dr. House and his team lol)
I will post pictures of all 3 plants as of an hour ago. I would love the assistance of RIU's 'House' to give input on these plants.
Id like to save the known female if its at all possible. And yes, Im aware that its almost a guarantee that if it doesnt hermie, anything I get off it is not going to be of quality or quantity. Do you think we should try cloning her? And who cares if the clones dont take or the mother dies cause they were bag seeds? Do you think we should put more light on her (we think thats why all the lower leaves are yellow/dead/dying and the upper ones aren't so bad)? Separating her isnt an option because of her roots being tangled with plant B in that pot. Do you think we should try our hand at super cropping/and or topping or any of that other fun stuff? Do you suppose its an AF and thats why its got pistils and the other two have nothing? Plant B's leaves feel dry and papery....due to low humidity? The stems on all 3 are purpley red or have purpley red lines running thru them....nute def? Browning/yellowing fan leaf tips...heat stress?? C'mon help a fellow RIUer haha.

IMG_1320.jpgIMG_1346.jpgIMG_1350.jpgyou can clearly tell these two have been kicking each other in the roots.

The cheese that stood alone.

Have you flipped to 12/12 yet, if not I would. I am presuming the yellowing leaves at the bottom were due to your initial problems. Looks like a girl to me and the new growth looks ok. Seems you are sorting your issues ok so good luck and keep growing.

thanks spliffbuddy - no, they havent been flipped to 12-12 yet, still on 18/6. kinda afraid to switch them (though i know it obviously has to be done at some point) because of the possibility of the plant to the right of 'the little girl' being male and having to attempt to remove it to prevent any pollination.

Yes, that is what I was thinking, also 5 weeks veg should be good and they will grow a lot more in flowering. Def flip now and see what the sex is on others.

I'd like to put them into flower, and if it were just up to me(my boyfriend is also involved), I would....I also wouldnt have planted two plants in the same pot lol.

I know that the pots themselves aren't overly big, so would i be correct in assuming that they aren't going to get much bigger than they are now leaving them in veg? The two tallest ones are roughly 10" and the female is about 7".

And ALSO, haha, knock on wood, but assuming the plant in the pot with the female ends up being a male, how would you recommend getting rid of/removing it?

If its a male, just chop it at the base and leave the root structure in. Make sure you remove the chopped plant well out of the grow room straight away. Hopefully though it will be a girl also.
