Please help! Plant dying in flower

It's week 4 of flower and I thought because I let my plant Veg too long and get too big for the 5 gallon bucket many of the branches started to die. I had to cut them off because they couldnt be saved, and kept lowering the nutrient solution until I got to 250PPM. The PPM's kept going up; I understood this to mean it was drinking water at a faster rate than nutrients and the PPM level was still too high. So I used only tap water, which is 115PPM. Hours later the water level is the same and it's at 175PPM. I should probably mention the entire time the water level has remained almost constant, and isn't really dropping. The leaves are starting to droop pretty bad and turn yellow.

Also, in the place I cut the branches off it looks like fungus is forming. What can I do about this?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Now... I could be wrong here... but if the ppm of the solution is rising and the water level is staying the same, and you aren't adding anything, that would tell me the solution is actually leaching nutrients out of the plant. I'm not sure how this would be happening, but I can't imagine that it's a good thing. If the leafs are yellowing, give her a dose of nutes and see if things improve, from the sound of it you're starving the poor thing to death.

p.s. the plant won't get "too big" for the pot and have branches die off, it will just stop growing when it hits the maximum size it can reach in the container. If branches are dying it is from something else.

Kesaber,
You didn't say how you're managing ph. Mostly on the leaves I see peripheral yellowing which I understand is associated with a K deficiency. All nutrients include K and deficiencies are rare...unless there's a absorption issue from ph being out of wack. Could that be the issue?

JohnDee,
I can't possibly think of anything else that makes sense. I guess I have to assume my pH meter is not giving me the correct reading. I am constantly correcting it to 5.9, but I guess it's possible I'm not getting the right reading....I have no idea

I would say check ph & also res temp......what does your roots look like......had a plant die on me a few months back after vegging till it got big, scrogged it, then I noticed it stopped growing on me....like you said, no movement at all as far as water level or plant growth.....took a look @ my roots & they were fucked.....it was pretty, warm back then & ac went down so I figured the res got to warm....hope this helps...good luck

kesaber,
I've heard of meters going out of range. Do you calibrate it now and then? Why don't you get some cheap litmus paper or the 3 drop ph system. That will be accurate enough to determine if you're way out of range.

And like you said, it's hard to come up with anything else that would do that to your plant. Water's ok, nutes are low. There is humidity and room temp and light issues...but I assume you've ruled those out. Good luck...

5 gal. pot, but water stays at same level?
Are you in soil or what?

Pics would be helpful bro

Here are some pictures. Let me know if you guys need more info I need help!
Looks like it's hungry.
Now we need to determine what your PH is, and what medium you're growing in.

If you're in soil, PH is too low.
Coco or hydro, that is fine.

The pH meter calibrated and working I checked that. Again, let me know if youse pictures are good. I'm growing in DWC using hydroton. I added a mild nutrient solution, res was at 5.5ph and 320 PPM. The next day I came to check it was 6.0PH 600PPM. The plant is getting worse. Any other ideas?

Also, the water level is not changing very much if at all

Looks a little oxygen starved. Not sure of your set up, constant drip on the hydroton? Bubblers?

what made you start dropping the nute levels originally? They don't look over fed so just curious.

I have two four inch air stones in there...nothing on the top. I started druopping the nute levels because the PPM kept rising. I took this to mean that plant was drinking water at a faster rate than the nutrients. I also thought I'd flush it with water to try and correct any issues. It wasn't until later that I realized the water level wasn't really dropping. I used to have to top it off substantially on a daily basis, but not any more. Do you think I should try switching out the bucket and increasing the nutrients?

Well its at 600PPM now, lol, even thought I left it at 330. How much should I add? What should I get it to?
