Please help with 1 question

I just have a question I germinated my seeds and the root came out i then put it in a peat pallet and i am just wondering do i need to put light on it now or after it come out of the soil. it is on a warming mat fyi.

After germination, I put mine under the lights, on 18/6,(19/5, actually) and keep 'em like that til it's time for 12/12. If going with 24/0, it might be a better idea to wait, hard to say. It's my personal belief that they're more willing to poke up through the soil during the dark hours, than in broad daylight. Then again, I'm not a fan of 24/0, I'm more of an 19/5 guy, who believes Mother Nature evolved around the dark period, purposely, over millions of years, and that it shouldn't be eliminated from growing. :wink:

I agree with jawbrodt, the light is necessary because that sprout will start using it asap but the darkness is definitely crucial and a very natural part of the grow cycle.
