Please help with design

Thanks for viewing my post. I'm legal in Mich. A caregiver can have 12 plants per patient and a total of 5 patients. I'm staying small - myself and potentially one other. Not hoping to have excess to sell to despenseries right away. I will be buying lights for 12 and building rooms for 24 plants. So far I've watched some of the SOG video, helped a friend clone, and browsed here and other sites. Tried loading pics, but I think I'll wait till online vids are not being played in my house.
Anyway, I currently have 4 clones under 2 flourescent tubes at 18/6 hrs (T17&T20) in a 2x2x3 insulated wooden cabinet. They show yellowing, copper spots and the leaves are outlined... From this site Ive gather that watering every day is too much, so I've gone to everyother day. Alternating super thrive, fish emotions and H2o. Three were cloned a month ago and the other 6 weeks. I think they show good growth, except for the orphan I adopted for fun.
I have lots of space and opportunities for my grow room location at my home. Not sure how long before I will have to move these to better lighting with more room for growth, but my funds only allow me to do a little at a time, so Im trying to be as methodical as possible.
Low funds equals low budget. I'll probably be using CFL for this project all the way to the mamas.
Odor is also one of the bigger concerns, I've seen the carbon filters so I'll probably design exhaust using a 5.5" CPU fan as the moving force. I'll look into the DIY threads too.
If anything please advise on the following:
What size CFLs do you think I should use for flowering and for mamas?
Given the 12 plant operation, how many plants should I have in how many different stages?
What yeild can I expect from using CFLs?

Too baked/lazy to read your whole post right now, but those plants look like they're planted in mulch. That soil is probably a big part of the problem.

Your fourth pic just looks like a leaf on a stick dude... Guessing it's your orphan... I'd say ditch that one. I agree with stomata, get some good soil and repot them. If your goal is a 12 plant SOG you will need a lot of CFLs, might want to look into HID lighting for that many plants. Also CPU fans don't move too much air against pressure, might not be best for a carbon filter. You're better off saving for a little while and doing it right the first time vs trying to slowly upgrade over a few months or however long.

cool, keep the comments comin. Thanks!!! Orphan will be ditched tomorrow. Now I will have two planted in coco/soil mix, and the other I will transplant to 50/50 perilyte with fertilizer soon. As I mentioned these were given to me by someone who's learning also, so sad to say it is what it is. I can only have a total of 12 over idk 3 or 4 stages so maybe 2-3 flowering with 1-2 mamas and the others in preflowering. So If I would need more than two CFLs per one flowering plant I can deff see where MID or HPS will be handy. I can get for $50 a homemade by electrician balist and hood for 1000w metal halide, I just thought this would be way too much light. I guess it's a heavy sob from a warehouse. I just have to get new bulb and probably a plug. It's converted to 110 I guess. Any ideas on what to look for with this unit before buying it? I like to burn but not burn shit down. I can also get for virtually free 4 48"flourescent tube fixtures. These are out of a retail shop they hold like 4 - 48" tubes each, I believe the ballist is self contained these need wiring too. I just don't know what good these would be, if they could produce enough lite to flower.

For my first grow, I used CFLs all the way through. My yield was only about half an oz per plant. This time around, I'm only using CFLs for Veg and as a supplemental lighting source for Flower. I bought a 400 watt HPS for my Flower area this time, plus I have my 125 Watt CFL for flowering hanging vertically so that the bottoms of the plants get more light. Just to let you know, by the time you buy all the CFLs you'll need, you can get an HPS for about the same amount.
