Hey everybody, so i have been having problems with my first grow . A lot of the leaves are starting to develop yellow tips and also yellowing a little on the side of the leaves too if you look close. Im growing in Destiny dark matter super soil, and have been testing the ph at 6.5 and feeding it to the schedule that i was given. Do i have a definciency or maybe too much nutrients?? I have attached some pictures of the plants. The bigger one is showing the most signs of the yellowing but the smaller ones are starting to now to please help what should i do???DSC00218.JPG DSC00219.JPG DSC00218.JPG DSC00219.JPG DSC00218.JPG DSC00219.JPG DSC00220.JPG DSC00218.JPG DSC00219.JPG DSC00220.JPG

If you are feeding a water only soil i suspect a bit of nute burn.

Take pics without the purple light next time and inform us of this soils makeup and what are you feeding and when.

I'm with Charface...very mild nutrient burn. Most of the damage is right on the leaf tip. Also the leaves themselves are quite dark indicating a lush supply of N.

So this is just from the soil...with no added nutrients?

Definitely do not add any extra nutrients and allow the plant to catch up with the soil.

Some people might repot...but I don't know enough about grow to support that.

Ok thanks for the reply guys, i have attached some new pics without the blue light on. Its growing in destiny dark matter super soil. it is derived from:
Derived from: Peat Moss, Coconut Coir, Perlite, African Night Crawler Worm Castings, Composted Porcine Manure, Glacial Rock Dust, Basalt Rock Dust, Oyster Shell Flour, Insect Frass, Fishbone Meal, Certified Organic Alfalfa Meal, Gypsum, Limestone Flour, Bone Meal, Feather Meal, Mined Potassium Sulfate, Blood Meal, Rock Phosphate, Fossilized Carbon Complex, Kelp Meal, Bat Guano/Mineralized Phosphate Sizes
Heres the link to where i got it from https://www.valleyindoor.com/destiny-grow-systems-dark-matter.html...
I bought one bag of this soil because they did not have the soil i was looking for which was bluesky organics. I have bought the entire nutrient system for bluesky and plan on doing my next grow in their soil as i have two new bags sitting at home unopened. But because i only had access to the dark matter soil, i used that for this grow, but i think my mistake was mixing this soil with the blue sky organics fertilizer. I didnt think it would be a problem because they are both supersoils. But the fertilizer ive been giving it is called fert alive, from bluesky organics (2-3-0 analysis), i feed it with the fert-alive every second watering. Here is the link for the fertilizer im talking about. https://www.blueskyorganics.com/products/fert-alive/.
And like i said i have their entire nutrient system for the flower period as well. Will i come into problems using those as well now?DSC00227.JPG DSC00227.JPG DSC00228.JPG DSC00227.JPG DSC00228.JPG DSC00229.JPG DSC00230.JPG DSC00231.JPG DSC00227.JPG DSC00228.JPG DSC00229.JPG DSC00230.JPG DSC00231.JPG

The soil you bought is part of a system they sell.
But instead of buying their stuff you are using blue sky, and I don' know who's schedule you chose to use.

Im assuming blue sky.

Also I have no idea the npk of blue sky
Or how many bottles/bags you are using.

Bottom line is this.
Generally a premixed bagged soil should last about a month on its own.

Yes Rick...no more nutrients for awhile.

And you need to learn more about organics. It can get really complicated. Philosophically you should be feeding your soil so the microbe balance is maintained...and not specifically feeding your plant. So Fert-alive? ...is that the nutrient you are giving?

I usually up my ppms until my leaf tops look like yours and then back off the ppms a bit, but my medium choice is soiless so not sure how hot your soil is.

Hey potUS...heard of guys doing that. He's got super dank soil though.

Hey Jd, thanks for the reply, and yes fert-alive is the nutrient i am giving, it has a 2-3-0 analysis.
Tell me about the water you use. I'm thinking you can probably finish off just with water phed if needed. I believe the plant has had enough P and certainly enough N.

Hey JD, i've been using tap-water thats been left out for atleast 48 hours before i water, i do test the ph and make sure it is in the 6.4-6.6 range. I have been using just plain water every other feeding and using the fert-alive mixed with the water for the other.

Rick,
Leaving your tap for a few days is good to evap off chlorine/chloramine. Is it requiring a lot to get it in ph range? What do you correct with?

How do your ice cubes look? If you freeze soft water...you get clear ice cubes. Hard water gives you cloudy ice cubes.

Water is a crucial element for plants.

So knowing as much about your tap water is a good thing. Check with city/county website. Sometimes they post water test results.
