Hey guys and girls just wanted to know if any one knows when the exact time a plant turns from veg into flower. Is there any visual signs to this to help spot any advice would be great thanx

I'm not aure about any signs, but grown indoors after the plant has reached a good size. Usualy after 3 to 6 months. Hope this helps

Ummm, the moment you flip the switch for 12/12 and it has gotten a couple of long nights?

Is that what you wanted? Cause the hormones and signalling-systems of the plant immidiately starts to change the metabolism of it for flowering, after you induce 12/12.

The first clue that the systems are go for flowering is the vegetative stretch for a couple of weeks, before it settles for budding.

Or are you talking outdoors?

Along the same lines as this question, once I turn the switch to 12/12 what physical change will I see in my plants? I know that it depends on the strain, but will it start getting those long hair like things, will it start clustering at the heads of each branch? I have no idea what change to expect in my plants. I know that they start budding, is it similar to flowers? Thanks:leaf::leaf::leaf:

If it's a female about the third week of flowering you should see this

Hmmm, all normal strains exhibit a roughly 2 week stretch-period when forced to flower with 12/12.

I dont know how auto-flowerers act as I've never grown them, but why would you want to grow autos indoors in the first place?

And, the reason for the change in spectrum is to replicate the conditions in nature, as the spring and high early/mid summer-sun in a clear atmosphere tends towards the blue, and the lower late summer/autumn sun in a dustier atmosphere tends towards the red. And the plants are naturally adapted to follow this spectrum-shift and make the most out of it.

I would for your auto-flowerers just observe them, and shift spectrum when they settle for budding.
